Happy for a brand new shark species, I believe the first porbeagle ever! Will 100% be picking it up  . There are morphological differences between porbeagles and salmons, such as a longer snout and a more rounded, broader first dorsal fin on the porbeagle, but they are similar enough that I see why a whole new sculpt wasn't devoted to it. And I agree @JimoAi, great to add the white color to the trailing edge of the first dorsal (hopefully it comes off as more starkly white in the official product).

I think Safari could replicate the recoloring idea with some other shark figures, such as perhaps turning the Gray Reef into a Silvertip shark, or the bamboo shark into an Epaulette shark (my dream figure, hope a company makes one one day, even if its just a recolor)! If recolors allow more shark species to go out onto the market, big supporter!

More than a nice touch. It's basically mandatory. It would be disappointing if it didn't have it.

Porbeagle looks GREAT!  Can't wait to get it in hand.  I'm a huge believer in repaints, especially when you have two or more species that are very similar except for coloration.  Salmon Sharks and Porbeagles are very, very similar, except for coloration.  I would rather see Safari spend effort and money designing new sculpts for dramatically different species than waste it on two that are so similar. 

More shark re-paints I'd love to see:  Bambooshark repainted as White-spotted Bambooshark, adult Brown-banded Bambooshark, and Epaulette Shark; Zebra Shark as adult Zebra Shark, Grey Reef Shark repainted into Caribbean Reef Shark and Silvertip Shark, and maybe their Silky Shark repainted as a Spinner Shark... and they should re-release their Bonnethead Shark repainted as the newly discovered hammerhead species, Sphyrna alleni!

Safari just revealed a Jersey Devil. Probably won't appeal to most of you but I'm excited. I'll definitely be getting one. It's a shame we can only review cryptids on April Fools! Will have to wait a couple years to cover this one on the blog!



I do wish it looked less cartoony and more like the below image but I understand why it's stylized this way and it will be great to have a Jersey Devil regardless. Keep it up with the cryptids Safari!
