Hurra! :)

Okay, here's a new one:

I believe it's in fact not as hard as it may seem at first sight. :)

Varanus

Is that the Pink Swimming Sea Cucumber (aka: Headless-chicken-fish :o), Enypniastes eximia?

Hehe, yes, congrats! :) I was even close to give a little hint - that there is already a Kaiyodo figure of it. Is "Headless-chicken-fish" a vernacular name that's been used previously or have you just coined it? ;D

I actually found that name on Wikipedia: "When Oceaneering ROV pilots saw and photographed the creature at 2500m depth they named it “The Headless Chicken Fish.”"  A somewhat apt description I think. ^-^

Here's my new animal:

I did an image search, and it appears you could be right. I hope Varanus confirms it as well

Newt

Any chance this game could be revived? It looks like fun!

I was just thinking the same thing! Though I'm a few months late! The onus is on us to find suitable tricky animals. I'll try and start us off again (although, in this case, I don't know the exact species either!). Whoever gets it right, picks the next animal. Unless we give up, in which case it is a free for all ;)

brontodocus

Brilliant idea to revive this! 8) Let's see how close I can pin it down... it's of course a holothurian, more specifically a worm holothurian (family Synaptidae). I'm not 100% sure about genus and species but my guess would be Synapta maculata, the Spotted Worm Sea Cucumber, also one of the longest holothurians known. :)
