I like especially the skate, the torpedos and the bottom manta. From your group I only have the Schleich bowmouth guitarfish.

Advicot

Wonderful array JimoAi!  :D

I think I'll consider the large ray by Safari next to the CollectA sawfish
Don't I take long uploading photos!

.
If you're scale conscious you can use it as the Smooth stingray from Australia which can get up to 7 ft wide and up to 4.3 metres long. Mine has part of its tail trimmed

I've always liked rays, and definitely have more than that scattered around! And quite a few more species as well!

Unpopular opinion: I think rays are more interesting than sharks

Question: what is your favorite ray species? Mine is the Mobula Alfredi

I'm partial to the south american freshwater rays. Only have a couple figures of those.

Gwangi

Electric rays, sawfishes, guitarfish, skates.

I still think you need to start a company...!

Isidro

Hahah, you're not the first person to tell that :P but I'm happy with making these figures for my own joy (however I can accept commisions like I did with your bowfin and paddlefish).

So you're taking commissions again!?

Isidro

I never has been into "taking comminsions", but in the times that people are enough interested for asking me for a commision, then I did it because I had modelling paste. And now I have modelling paste again. That's all :-)

IMG_20210130_220434.jpg I just noticed that minizoo lists the CollectA manta ray as a retired figure but it's still on the 2022 collectA catalogue. Any confirmation?

JimoAi

Best hammerhead shark figure from the 4 major companies?

JimoAi

I kinda think the new safari great whites lateral keel is not pronounced enough as compared to the monterey bay one. It kinda reminds me of a younger shark

True, I think what kills it for me is the pectoral fins looking a little too slanted forward... just me?

JimoAi

Is it just me or is Papo's manta ray based on Mobula Birostis because of the proportions ad the black top jaw? @bmathison1972 I will need help for this

JimoAi

Because CollectA has a smaller head to the proportion of its body compared to some other manta figures, it looks more like those closely related devil rays rather than mantas
