Bullyland Pheasant

The Bullyland Pheasant listing was "removed by seller...because there was an error in the listing".

Safari Ltd Hatchetfish

Dang, I bought one exactly a year ago and it was like $16.50.

Though I guess beggars can't really be choosers, and it looks like this is the only one available on Mercari or eBay.

Huh, a local store in my area had a tub of dozens of them (and the gulper eel) for like $3 a piece. I wonder if they still do...

Are they legit? There are lots of bootlegs of Safari figures working their way into stores in America. I have seen them in a few prominent museums and aquaria!

I rather think so. I believe they had the Safari logo on the underside, and those bins of fish have been there for probably at least 20 years. This was long before the influx of Chinese knockoffs coursing through Amazon or AliExpress. I bought one of each the first time I went in but never saw a reason to invest in more. Maybe I'll swing by again sometime and check; I haven't been in in years.

I don't care if it's a genuine or not. If it's for a good price and it looks good I'm getting it.

How big is the Safari LTD hatchet fish anyways?

Saarlooswolfhound

I wouls imagine rather large, like an IC figure. I have 3 from this series and they are bigger size.

Listed as rare but I'm not sure how true that is.

Oooh thanks I'll have to think about it, that's pretty expensive but there is one in particular there I have been searching for.  I might hold off for a bit since I have most of them but I'll keep an eye on it for now.

In terms of how rare, I know they used to be available at like around 3 - 5 dollars each plus a bit of a shipping fee total, but they were blind bags so it was really difficult to get certain ones in particular.  I'm not seeing as much of the listings for them currently so they may be more rare now, although they were never exactly "common" in the US, only being usually available through very specific sellers.
