I like all of them especially the INSECTS!!!! and crustaceans!

sbell

I will echo that a unique carnivore set would be so welcome!

And any hyena would be awesome, but a brown hyena would be a first EVER. Can't wait to see more on that!

EpicRaptorMan

Insects will be a big hit/miss for me. Sizing is important as is unique species (specifically interested in an army ant, bulldog ant, & bombardier beetle). Still eagerly waiting for the primates & frogs.

@SerAndrew when Kenc said hyena I assumed he meant the spotted hyena. If so, I don't think they could just repaint that mold into a brown hyena.

Sim

Thanks for the photos and info @Kenc!  The parrots look great already, I can barely wait to see how they will look in the end!  The crustacean and reptile figures are interesting to hear about!  I'm hoping they include a golden ghost crab, saltwater crocodile and gharial!

Quote from: Kenc on September 09, 2024, 02:01:37 AMIn Chinese it translates to oily mud. It is made from a mixture of paraffin, stone powder, petroleum jelly, calcium carbonate, and color powder. It is a relatively hard clay that becomes highly plastic with increasing temperature. :)

Sounds like it might just be plasticene. It never fully hardens, right?

Thanks all friends!
A little pity, I asked the sculptor Zhou about it and he replied to me that it was a spotted hyena..

I echo those sentiments- you gotta have some of those common and iconic species to support the company financially and then get those rare special species when the time is right.

But, I think a striped or brown hyena, and even aardwolf would be more than welcome to collectors!

A very nice cockatoo. Perhaps its just wishful thinking but that looks different than the usual sulphur crested, no?

Isidro

Very clearly not sulphur-crested. I'm thinking salmon-crested.

To me it looks like a palm cockatoo. In an earlier photo there was a different sculpt that looked like it could be a sulphur-crested cockatoo. I'm really hoping one of the figures in this Toymany set will be a great green macaw! It looks stunning when flying!

EpicRaptorMan

Yes definitely not a sulphur-crested. Perhaps the salmon-crested I assume.

endogenylove

It looks most similar to a palm to me!
Always looking for new species...

Hi @Kenc, I hope the parrot set will include a budgie with the wild colouration!  I'm waiting to see if the Toymany budgie will come in that colouration as if it will I will almost certainly get it and not one of the other figures currently available of this species.
