Hmmm. The paperwork doesn't really help, does it. You can probably made pretty good assumptions, based on my proposals above. I would assume they represent North Pacific fauna (which would eliminate grey), but who's to say.

Quote from: Isidro on March 03, 2024, 06:08:25 AMYour new arrivals have many Aussie vibes :-) Congrats for your purchases!

I also have the Science & Nature eagle, a big too big and not very fine but after a heavy customizing it resulted very good. Of course I also have the Southlands platypus, the only platypus of decent size in the whole trade, is absolutely perfect in every sense :-) I would like to see the new Schleich armadillo, tough I fear that it would be probably too ginormous for my taste.

Here's a picture of the armadillo with the Schleich eagle and reindeer. Sadly, didn't have any other Schleich figures at hand.

Here are my recent acquisitions. Got them in the last month. I also bought the Schleich Cape Buffalo, blue macaw and bonobo yesterday, but haven't taken any photos yet.

Here's also a comparison of the new Schleich (right) and the older Bullyland (left) salamander.

And I also saw the alpine ibex and aardvark, but I didn't like them, so I didn't buy them. The ibex looks kind of like a knock-off, like someone else already commented here or somewhere else. And the aardvark was very small and not quite to my liking. Maybe a bit too simplistic?  I don't know.

Very nice, Arctinus! I have a lot in your group pic  ;) . I also decided not to get the Schleich ibex, especially after Kimimalou's walkaround. I will wait for this year's CollectA.

Thanks!  ^-^  Ah, right! That's where I must've seen the first images.  :D  I'm planning on doing the same.

And here are the three figures I bought yesterday. Not sure why they went with brown on the buffalo, though I like the sculpt. And the macaw is rather small and its feet are a bit too large, but that's due to stability. Maybe they could've gone with a perching one.

I am very pleased with this bonobo. I didn't go for the macaw as I have one by Kaiyodo, but it's not bad!

Arctinus

Yeah, I like the bonobo as well, even though it looks a bit off here in the photo compared to the actual figure. I also contemplated taking a Japanese macaque home with me, but I think it suffered a similar fate as the ibex as far as the paintjob goes. Though, I might still change my mind and grab one next time.

The painting around the nose of the bonobo has been inconsistent across the models and promotional images.

The paint is very glossy and makes it look cheap.

Arctinus

I just checked again and mine doesn't seem to have glossy paint on the face, though the rest of the body (the black parts) seem to be glossy.

My mistake I should've clarified. The black hair across the body is what is glossy.

Arctinus

Oh, I thought the second sentence referred to the first one. :D

I just watched a YouTube video on Schleich badger and it also seems to have a glossy black fur, so I don't know if it's just a glossy paint they use for black colour or something. I don't have my figures with me to check whether other black animals have the same glossy appearance. I don't remember their chimpanzee having a glossy coat, but then again my memory isn't really great.  ::)

I've recently acquired:

1. Science & Nature yellow-crowned parakeet.  I like it!

2. Science & Nature brown snake.  It's amazing!  Jason Smit is a great sculptor!  I know he sculpted the Southlands Replicas figures, but I'd like to know if he sculpted any other Science & Nature figure besides the brown snake?

3. Schleich mini chameleon.  I like it too, it replaces my Mojo chameleon.

I've acquired a better-painted Safari great grey owl.  I've also acquired the Safari Galapagos toob!  I bought it for the two boobies and I'm happy with them!  I noticed that they both say "red footed booby" underneath!  Not a problem for me though, I know what the blue-footed one is!

Haul time

A bunch of safari ltd sea animals. Am shifting my collection I to a smaller scale. The lineup I have gotten is the Safari ltd Manta, Toob sawfish which I'm using as Pristis clavata and a K/O of the toon Bottlenose dolphin which I may eventually get the toob

For this and my next haul, it would be my last prehistorics for a long time as I have grown tired of having to constantly replace figures. Here I have gotten the Safari ltd liopleurodon, which is a childhood favourite, the Kaiyodo Icthyosaurus, which I'm using as a smaller species in the genus and the Favorite Ankylosaurus which is q crudely painted on my copy and I noticed the feet looks quite odd (see next picture)

Lastly, some SpongeBob merch. The Super7 ultimates wave 2 finally shipped after waiting since September 2022 and they're basically 1:1 copies of the characters from the show. Some other items I've obtain includes a Youtooz Sandy, Miku Squidward, hopes and dreams grave and the tiki house.

Sim

I've acquired the Archie McPhee garden birds set, thanks to @brettnj who very kindly got it and sent it to me!  I'm very happy with it!

EpicRaptorMan

Obtained the Schleich Scarlet Macaw. Looks pretty good. The posture is a bit weird when standing on its own. But I'm satisfied.

Hi all! I just swung by Japan for a few days on my return from a few years in SE Asia, and here's my newest haul:

Some of these are from the secondhand figure stores in Akihabara but most of them are from the gachapon machines at the mall near my friend's house, and a few from the gacha centers in Shibuya.

The yen is super weak to the dollar right now, so I may have gone a bit overboard...but I haven't really been collecting for the past two years either so it was nice to finally grab some figures that I really wanted (I clearly like freshwater stingrays) and get back in the game.

Not sure what I have shared here yet or not but things are my two recent batches over the past couple months. Some of them I've had for a while but I haven't had the chance to add them to my album until now and are thus here now.

I also have that macaw and I like it.  :))

Also, just saw your newer post and I like your recent-additions layout! Some I already have and some I'm yet to get.

Where did you get the Eofauna T-Rex? What do you think of it?  :D I like that it comes with a base, since I seem to have bad luck with their Giga and now even Papo's T-Rex.  :-\

I got it off a Chinese site but AliExpress has it. It's the best theropod figure imo and the ppl whining about it's minor flaws can shut up cuz it's beautiful
