I've acquired the following:

1. Science & Nature Australian magpie, kakapo, echidna, Australian pelican, sulphur-crested cockatoo and wedge-tailed eagle.  They are my first Science & Nature figures and I'm very happy with them!

2. Southlands Repliacas platypus.  I knew it was small, but it was still smaller than I expected!  When I tried opening the plastic bag it was in, the figure flew across the room.  Luckily it was undamaged.  I'm satisfied with this figure, even with its small size!

3. Papo robin.  I love it!  I'm eager for more local birds from Papo!

4. Schleich 2024 armadillo.  It's so nice!

5. Safari kookaburra.  I've been watching videos of Australian birds, which has made me grow fond of a number of species, such as the Australian magpie and rainbow lorikeet, and the sulphur-crested cockatoo which I already had a liking for.  Another bird the videos made me develop a liking for is the kookaburra.  I'm happy to have a figure of it now!

I also have the S.R. platypus. I have thought about replacing it because of its size, but it's such a good figure, and that S.R. is now defunct, I think I'll keep it for the foreseeable future.

Isidro

Your new arrivals have many Aussie vibes :-) Congrats for your purchases!

I also have the Science & Nature eagle, a big too big and not very fine but after a heavy customizing it resulted very good. Of course I also have the Southlands platypus, the only platypus of decent size in the whole trade, is absolutely perfect in every sense :-) I would like to see the new Schleich armadillo, tough I fear that it would be probably too ginormous for my taste.

Sim

Thanks Isidro!  The 2024 Schleich armadillo is about twice the length of the SR platypus.

Surprise!Back with a other haul!

Starting with the Jurassic world captivz hatchlings if the raptor squad and Bumpy plus a Terapagos figure!

My first custom made of the Sacabambaspis I got at a convention. Couldn't resist getting it and it was the only prehistoric merch there.

Not 100% new but I have gotten the base and the juvenile of the Aquameridian Humphead wrasse which I have gotten a year ago.

Lastly, the set of Bandai seals which I need help with their IDs and a Kinder seal

JimoAi

Got this Chinese Yellow tube sponge figure with it's more famous counterpart. It's rather crudely painted but it suits what it is IG

Ikessauro

Hi guys.

I got this quite unique looking Safari Ltd Nile Crocodile recently. I've had the Safari Ltd "Table Top Croc" for a while, still in the original blister. But I didn't even consider there was a huge version of it out there. Make sense that Safari would make this, since that 1995 to 1999 period was a golden age of huge models for them. It is even larger than the massive "Giant Alligator", I included in the pic for comparison. I had never seen this piece before, also never even heard of it anywhere before I found it for sale.

You find the most unusual Safari figures @Ikessauro - congrats!

I bet @Gwangi will be adding it to his search list  ^-^

@JimoAi - do you have packaging for the Bandai seals? My assumption is that they are, from left to right:
1. spotted seal
2. harbor seal
3. grey seal
4. grey seal
5. grey seal (pup)

1 and 2 might be reversed (?). At first I thought 1 would be a leopard seal, but these probably represent Japanese/northern fauna (although the grey seal isn't in the Pacific, that I recall).

I've never seen that one before but my dad had the tabletop one sitting on his keyboard. It will be added to my search list but I'm not holding my breath. Same with the big alligator. It would be easier to track down a taxidermy alligator. Safari continues to surprise me with these past offerings. They seemed to take more chances in their earlier years. I doubt they'll ever make something like that again.

Hmmm. The paperwork doesn't really help, does it. You can probably made pretty good assumptions, based on my proposals above. I would assume they represent North Pacific fauna (which would eliminate grey), but who's to say.

Here's a picture of the armadillo with the Schleich eagle and reindeer. Sadly, didn't have any other Schleich figures at hand.

Here are my recent acquisitions. Got them in the last month. I also bought the Schleich Cape Buffalo, blue macaw and bonobo yesterday, but haven't taken any photos yet.

Here's also a comparison of the new Schleich (right) and the older Bullyland (left) salamander.

And I also saw the alpine ibex and aardvark, but I didn't like them, so I didn't buy them. The ibex looks kind of like a knock-off, like someone else already commented here or somewhere else. And the aardvark was very small and not quite to my liking. Maybe a bit too simplistic?  I don't know.

Very nice, Arctinus! I have a lot in your group pic  ;) . I also decided not to get the Schleich ibex, especially after Kimimalou's walkaround. I will wait for this year's CollectA.

Thanks!  ^-^  Ah, right! That's where I must've seen the first images.  :D  I'm planning on doing the same.

And here are the three figures I bought yesterday. Not sure why they went with brown on the buffalo, though I like the sculpt. And the macaw is rather small and its feet are a bit too large, but that's due to stability. Maybe they could've gone with a perching one.

I am very pleased with this bonobo. I didn't go for the macaw as I have one by Kaiyodo, but it's not bad!

Arctinus

Yeah, I like the bonobo as well, even though it looks a bit off here in the photo compared to the actual figure. I also contemplated taking a Japanese macaque home with me, but I think it suffered a similar fate as the ibex as far as the paintjob goes. Though, I might still change my mind and grab one next time.

The painting around the nose of the bonobo has been inconsistent across the models and promotional images.

The paint is very glossy and makes it look cheap.

Arctinus

I just checked again and mine doesn't seem to have glossy paint on the face, though the rest of the body (the black parts) seem to be glossy.

My mistake I should've clarified. The black hair across the body is what is glossy.
