Got a really big and costly haul coming soon. This fella is one of the reasons why Screenshot_20210221_151721.jpg

Isidro

That's a really nice dragon moray. I would not mind to have it in my collection :D
The price of the figure is really cheap, but I assume the shipping is very expensive for compensation.

It's in chinese yuan, not Japan yen as you can see below it, my countries currency:SGD, which is about 1.3 dollar to 1 USD

Isidro

Oh, I mistook for yen. Then it costs 42,328 USD? (32,56 x 1,3) Wow. Really expensive!

That's too much. It's 1.3 x 32.56. its a decimal point

JimoAi

My totally is actually abt 200 SGD, including shipping

I also purchased the safari ltd Hammerhead shark, among others

Europeans often use commas instead of decimal points...

I stopped updating 'Blaine's Bug of the Day' and 'Blaine's Synoptic Collection' when I started the daily Museum posts (since new figures go right into the Museum's database). So, I decided I will start posting my new arrivals to this thread again!

Today I received the remaining Papo 2020 invertebrates:
1. edible snail, Helix pomatia
2. honey bee, Apis mellifera
3. common green grasshopper, Omocestus viridulus

I am identifying the grasshopper as Omocestus viridulus, given the morphology and Papo tends to go with local wildlife.

These three figures will be my next three Blog posts, over the next few weeks

Arctinus

They look really nice. I especially love the snail. ^-^ And I look forward to your blog posts (they often help me decide whether or not to get the figures I want, plus I always like to read some additional information on the animal).  ;D

My haul is taking longer than expected

Today I received the complete Maia & Borges Lake and River Birds collection (2012) @Gwangi - this is the one I was telling you about by email

I ordered this from Portugal via email nearly four months ago! Before I bought it, the seller assured me it would be sent by air freight and I would get it in about 10 days. After I moved apartments last week and still hadn't received it, I put in a request for refund by eBay (which was granted; now I want to pay back the seller since I received it  ^-^ ). Anyway, I have a feeling this came by boat... But, I have it now and that's what matters.

There are 8 species in the collection. At first I was only going to retain the five that were new species, but I think I'll replace the duplicate species so I maintain this complete set in my collection!!!!

The species are:
1. wood duck, Aix sponsa (the one I REALLY wanted the most)
2. falcate duck, Anas falcata
3. mallard, Anas platyrhynchos (replaces a Schleich version I had)
4. mute swan, Cygnus olor (replaces the CollectA model, which is very nice but honestly was always a bit big for my tastes)
5. tufted duck, Aythya fuligula (replaces Kaiyodo figure with a 'flat bottom')
6. horned grebe, Podiceps auritus
7. common loon, Gavia immer (a species I always wanted a figure of)
8. red-throated loon, Gavia stellata

Gwangi

A wonderful assortment, I'm glad it finally arrived to you! I don't think I could handle a four month wait but it appears to have been worth it.
