just saying that even there's nothing in this series I'm particularly excited to get, I am happy that Bandai is continuingbon producing wonderful aquatic miniatures. The silver arowana would be a new species for me but I'm not particularly wanting to get it as I'm reserving my collection for more exciting species and I'm also limiting the number of species in my main display. Knowing the nature of these gashapon figures and having several gashapon stores near me, it's inevitable I'll use my adult money to get them until I get the ray. so far, out of the 3 existing series, I've really like all the figures released this far except the Hammerhead and the whales I got them because I couldn't resist the temptation and I ended up liking the whales more than I thought I would especially with how well they scale with one another despite not being 100% in scale unlike the fossil fish and sharks set and the only thing jarring is the size as whales are big animals and the humpback and sperm are about the same length as the great white from the shark series which gave me the idea of using it a O.megalodon. Also notice there's no marine species in this installment if there's a third installment, I would like to see a Tarpon,an African lungfish, beluga sturgeon and a bowfin

Why not? the ray is a great piece to have.

Similar rays were found in the Eocene...Heliobatis for example, from Green River. But actual potamotrygonids are known from the Eocene of South America
