Are they Lifesize?

I think so; they are smaller than the traditional 'Diversity' figures. The 'Mini' beetles were 1:1 so I assume these are, too!

Oh I like.  I really, really like.  I wish they would do a species other than Locusta migratoria, but I'll take every one I can get!!

bmathison1972

I think I might just get the whole set and replace their larger counterparts with these. They will be smaller, take up less space, and look more detailed than their larger couterparts!

Nice! I am skipping on the two L. cervus; I have enough well-made figures of that species

Now You have me curious! I now of no correct Lucanus cervus figurine. The Collecta and Papo ones are not at all acurate (and very bulky and disproportionate to me). The DeAgostini one is named Lucanus cervus but is almost certainly (mandibels and proportions in account) the subspecies Lucanus cervus akbesianus (which looks more black and has more vans on the The antennae than Lucanus cervus).
To beetle or not to beetle.

Beetle guy

There is a new set of diversity of life coming (probably Premium Gasaphon) of ladybirds/ladybugs.

@Beetle guy - I assume these are 'standard' and not 'mini? So, they'll be pretty large

what species is/are they?

EDIT: I see, they are one wild type and three domestic types of the African fat-tailed gecko, Hemitheconyx caudicinctus

Oh nice! One of my favorite groups of insects in toy/figure form!

I didn't say I was looking for perfection. For my purposes, Papo, CollectA, and Bullyland are all just fine. Plus, DeAgostini, small version by K&M, a model kit by Heller, and a forum piece by Jetoar. More than enough for my needs.

I figured as much; I would have gotten the wild type if 'mini'  :)
