You'll find it on yesterday's daily Museum post.

Lizards have always been some of my favorite animals; they're probably the best-represented group in my extant collection too.

Quote from: brontodocus on December 30, 2012, 12:12:12 AM...The big Safari Ltd. Incredible Creatures Frilled Lizard, Chlamydosaurus kingii Gray, 1827. Total length is approx. 514 mm with a snout-vent length of 240 mm. So the scale is approx. 1:1 - 1:1.5. The figure is hollow and made of a very soft (I'd even say a little too soft) material. Still a huge and impressive figure. Here's its original site at Safari Ltd.: http://safariltd.shptron.com/p/incredible-creatures%C2%AE-frilled-lizard

Quoting this to share a couple photos of my own...

This guy's currently in storage, but was easily one of my most prized toy animals; it was probably gifted to me soon after it first released. Chlamydosaurus is one of my favorite species, too!

Total length is approx. 309 mm, snout-vent length 134 mm. For an adult specimen the scale would be between 1:1.3 and 1:2. Here's the figure at Safari's original website: http://safariltd.shptron.com/p/incredible-creatures%C2%AE-bearded-dragon

This one, I'm less fond of.

I've owned two bearded dragons and loved them very much, so I WANTED to like this figure. In most aspects it's quite good.
But those eyes.... Yech. Those lumpy grey eyes destroy any sense of life in the figure. So close, yet so far.
I was extremely grateful the 2023 leopard gecko did not suffer the same fate.
