Classification: Mammals
Lion, pair (Noah’s Pals by Caboodle! Toys LLC)
Welcome back to the “Savannah Summer”! Hot weather often makes people want to find a nice, shady spot and just relax, do more later as the temperature dips. This method is also used by the largest mammal predator in Africa, the lion (Panthera leo). Like any cat, they are masters of lazing around, as well as hunting.
European Mouflon (Wildlife by CollectA)
Review and images by Suspsy; edited by bmathison1972
Mouflons are wild sheep native to Europe and Western Asia, and are surmised to be the ancestors of all the domestic sheep breeds which have been so valuable to us for millennia. Five subspecies are currently recognized, including the European variety (Ovis gemlini musimon) that will be the subject of this review.
Bowhead Whale (Wild Safari Sealife by Safari Ltd.)
Indian Elephants, 1998-2005 (Wild Life Asia and Australia by Schleich)
Snub-Nosed Monkey (Wild Safari Wildlife by Safari Ltd.)
Snub-nosed monkeys are comprised of 5 species that make up the Rhinopithecus genus in the Colobinae subfamily. They live in southern China as well as parts of Myanmar and Vietnam. Snub-nosed monkeys get their name from their flattened noses which are thought to be an adaptation to their cold, high elevation environment.
Zebra, Pair (Noah’s Pals by Caboodle! Toys LLC)
Well, we are in June, the temperature is rising and the weather is becoming sunnier. To celebrate the season, I will be looking into the animals that live on one of the hottest continents on earth, Africa. From the Sahara to the Serengeti, from the Congo to Botswana, I will be reviewing animals from across this amazing place.

Pacific White-Sided Dolphin (Sealife by CollectA)
American Bison, adult and calf, 2004 (Wild Life America by Schleich)
Sperm Whale, 2018 (Marine Life by Papo)
The sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus) is one of my hands-down favorite animals and yes, I know I’ve said that before about other species, but there’s only three animals tattooed on my arm and one of them is the sperm whale. The other is the giant squid (Architeuthis dux) and as you can expect, they’re locked in combat, a small shark lurks in the background.
