My name is Paige, I go by Saarlooswolfhound on related forums online. I have a Bachelor's degree that focused on zoological and anthropological sciences; I don't work in those fields professionally. I have been a collector for many years, but have had these plastic figures in my life since I was about three years old. Many of these figures were originally toys for me (I still retain them in my collection), in addition to adding new brands etc. I recently launched my own website in 2022, and add new figures to my curation all the time. I have always been passionate about the animal world and its many diverse wonders. I am especially enthusiastic about the canine family; wolves are my specialty. I myself have two beloved domestic dogs, one a rescued American cocker spaniel and one Decker rat terrier. If I am not spending time with them, I am reading the latest scientific journal articles I can find or cataloging something new for my collection. At the last count, the collection was well over 5,000 pieces and is still growing! I often get asked what I will ever do with them, but honestly I can't imagine life without this excellent hobby.

Another trip along the holiday trail, a hell hound has arrived on the scene for presentation… Not truly, instead, I have a very precious Kaiyodo Asahiyama Exclusive black phase wolf model. Reused from the Choco Q Animatales model #239 from series 11, the mold itself is precisely the same besides a color change.

Happy Holidays everyone! Whatever you celebrate this season, I do hope that it is holly and jolly and fun! Just like this special edition Schleich reindeer model (Rangifer tarandus). Released late in the year of 2021 as part of a holiday special release, it is a festive reindeer model.

In honor of the American holiday of Thanksgiving, here is a poultry to satisfy any bird lover’s appetite. The Safari Ltd. #242929 turkey (Melagris gallopavo), released as part of their Safari Farm line in 2007 and still in production today, is a marvelous avian figure.

In keeping with the Halloween theme for the upcoming holiday, here is presented the Schleich #13004 sitting black cat (Felis catus). This model was released in 1984 in the early days of the company as part of the Schleich Farm series and was later discontinued in 1997.

The Safari Ltd. maned wolf, listed as #100367, was released in 2021 and is currently in production. This model is included as part of the Wild Safari Wildlife Collection. The model itself measures to around 4 inches long and 3.5 inches tall (10.16 cm x 8.89 cm).

The Papo “Jackal”, #50259 was released in 2020 and is currently in production. It is part of the Wild Animal collection from Papo. The figure itself measures approximately 2.2 in. in length and 2 in. tall (5.58 cm in length and 5.08 cm tall).

The Safari Ltd. Gray Wolf, #100509 was released as part of their 2020 additions. It is included in their Wild Safari North American Wildlife Collection. The model itself measures as 4 inches (10 cm) long and around 2.75 inches (7 cm) tall (roughly the size of a credit card standing on its long edge, or roughly 1:9.5 – 1:12.5 in scale).

The Mojo Fun reindeer adult and calf, numbers #387186 and #387188 respectively, were released as new products in 2019. They are included in Mojo Fun’s Wildlife range of models. The adult measures at about L-13 W-7 H-13 cm and the calf is L-9 W-2 H-6 cm.
