I think all Good Luck Minis are always designed after a standard-sized model of the same brand...

Well now we know for certain that it's a saltwater crocodile!

Still more annoyed that I haven't been able to get the caiman or clouded leopard... Papo used to be everywhere

That T. rex is admittedly pretty cool. I still won't be buying it. I couldn't say no to a thresher shark though.
I like turtles.

Thanks Paige,

OK very nice. The 'ghost insect' is indeed a giant leaf insect. I'll be getting that one for sure.

The jellyfish looks to be the mauve stinger as I predicted; I will get that one too to have a smaller representative of the species.

The saltwater crocodile and Anhanguera are maybe based on accuracy. The thresher shark will be a maybe if I can get it to represent a species other than the pelagic thresher. What say you @Alopias superciliosus ?

EDIT: BTW the 'moth' and 'Andalusian cattle' are not in the catalogue. Perhaps they aren't going to be produced after all?

Also, here's the red cardinal, since it's not included on the "expected in 2025" pages.

That's sad. I was looking forward to a moth, whatever species it would be.  :(

Ok, so saltwater is in as it's a new species for me.

The cardinal probably, I already have the Safari toob with some repainting, but just to have all the Papo birds...

Tiger is cool in pics, I can also get it. Maybe...

And anhanguera as well based on accuracy and size (only if in the 1/35-1/40 scale).

So looks a quiet year for me in general...

Alopias superciliosus

What do we think the species for the thresher is? The large eye and long, pointed snout are making me think Bigeye, but can't be certain from that one picture, would want to see more.

If it is supposed to be a Bigeye, I'm not sure if I'll pick one up, as the Safari version already has that spot in my collection (and is my favorite figure, see my photo and username haha)

Thanks; I don't have a Bigeye yet so if it fits the bill, I'll consider it, too!

I noticed that. I hope to see the bull! But we will have to see.

The eye position and shape makes me think it's a common but that might be wishful thinking.

Ok the thresher is an instant buy for me. I feel it isn't a big eye as yes, threshers have big eyes but this one doesn't look like it's popping out of the head so it either a common or the pelagic.A must buy for me and the third lamniform this year (4 if you include the Safari Porbeagle)

I hope the saltie isn't too big else it would look out of scale with my other models tho

The jellyfish could be intriguing for me but time will tell

The anhanguera looks interesting but more pics will tell if I'm getting.

So far 1 confirm purchase and 3 maybes for me.

As if we need another tiger...

I'm very happy about the saltwater crocodile!  I've been wanting one very much and Papo's looks great!  I had been wondering how Papo would differentiate it from their alligator's walking pose and caiman's (and previous crocodile's) resting pose.  They've solved that by putting it in a swimming pose, or bursting out of the water pose!  I'm impressed :)

The thresher shark looks like a bigeye thresher to me.  If it is indeed a different species to the Toymany thresher shark I'll get it.

I'm interested in the leaf insect too.  I find them aesthetically pleasing and I'd like to have a figure of one.  A stick insect too, which if I'm right Toymany is making.

Collectors with a perfectly suitable tiger collecting dust on their shelf certainly don't, but when a 3 year old goes to a store with their parent toy companies better be sure to have one for sale.

I'm sad to see the Papo great tit isn't in the catalogue, I guess this means it's retired.  It's an excellent figure.  I would have liked it if Papo made more birds for 2025 as the cardinal isn't a species I'm interested in getting a new figure of (I have the Archie McPhee version), although Papo's looks like the best version of the species.  I'm not going to complain though, Papo's making a saltwater crocodile which is my most wanted modern animal species! :)

Alopias superciliosus

The relatively long snout is the main thing pointing me to a Bigeye (the amount of space between the eye and the end of the snout seems to line up best with a Bigeye), and I do think the eye is closest in proportional size to a Bigeye as well. The tail also doesn't look *that* elongated, which fits for a Bigeye, which has the smallest proportional tail length, although the tail length could've been due to manufacturing or fragility constraints.

I was hoping for a Common and it still could be one, but it looks the most like a Bigeye or a Pelagic from this one image. A lateral image will I think shed a lot of light onto how big the eye is, whether head grooves are present, and how long that snout really is.

Sim

I just noticed the Papo albatross is in the new catalog!  Does this mean it's been brought back from retirement?  It's another excellent figure.  ...Please Papo, bring back your gharial, I wasn't collecting modern animal figures when it was available and now I can't find it anywhere!

Saarlooswolfhound

I wonder if the catalog is incomplete because it is combined with other products/brands...?

Sim

I hadn't thought of that.  It might be incomplete as the new for 2025 repainted Therizinosaurus and Plesiosaurus aren't in it...
