Quote from: Saarlooswolfhound on January 17, 2024, 07:06:12 PMOh I love those!

Me too, and I don't have a betta in my collection. Depending on the size, I might consider one of these!

@Saarlooswolfhound - this has you written all over it :)

Saarlooswolfhound

Interesting! I love me some doggos. :) The Westie is especially nice.

bmathison1972

yeah the Westie is what interested me, as well.

Toys Spirits is releasing another set of eels! I missed the boat on these last time. I might be interested if there are any interesting species. Can't do translations now, so any idea @sbell or @JimoAi

EDIT:

These are the translations I get and suspect Latin names for a couple of them:
A. 'normal' moray (not sure that means)
B. white ribbon eel, Pseudechidna brummeri
C. spider moray (? snowflake moray, Echidna nebulosa)
D. Hawaiian moray (?)
E. Galaxy moray (?)

Danggit... of course they're all just repaints of the same model, but unique species.

Pretty sure that the first one is a kidako moray (I guess normal in Japan!)

bmathison1972

@sbell - do you know the Latin names of the other/all species?  ;D

JimoAi

the normal moray has to be a Kidako due to the brand being Japanese and how often they make the species

JimoAi

Alopias superciliosus

Think I have been able to track all of them down! The last two are very obscure choices, never heard of them before

A:Agreed on Kidako Moray (Gymnothorax kidako) https://www.zukan-bouz.com/syu/%E3%82%A6%E3%83%84%E3%83%9C
B:Agreed on Pseudechidna brummeri
C:Agreed on Snowflake Moray (Echidna nebulosa) https://zukan.com/fish/internal1226
D:Y-Patterned Moray (Gymnothorax berndti) https://zukan.com/fish/internal1237
