Quote from: EpicRaptorMan on November 03, 2023, 08:53:28 PM@bmathison1972 do we know the size? My current cuttlefish is nice and transparent in a docile pose and only measures 8 cm long.

The email I got doen't mention a size of the figure. Once they show up on site (e.g., Minizoo), they may include the size

It is 10.4 cm long. I received an email directly from CollectA with a table of dimensions and other details for all these figures revealed today.

and keep in mind, that will be TOTOAL size, including any tentacles directed forward! Sounds like the perfect size for me!

That cuttlefish is definitely going on my list

Arctinus

It's also definitely on my to-get list. ;D

I have to head out soon, so I'll try to get this week's reveals up from work once the Blog email received them. On the DTF, a Dreadnoughtus and Velociraptor have been revealed.

Arctinus

I've got an email with the proboscis monkey, which looks quite nice, in my opnion, so I've added it to my list.

Yep, but not sure if it's worth to replace my Mojo...

Collie is quite good and, again, makes me want to collect dogs...

Thanks! I still don't have the email to get images to update the first thread. I am planning on the Dreadnoughtus and Border Collie. The proboscis monkey is nice, but I see no reason to replace the Mojo version I have.

EDIT: Snagged the images from another forum and updated first post ;-)

Nothing really thrills me this week but I like that Breton draft horse. I don't collect horses, what is happening to me? The monkey is decent too and I don't have that species yet so I might get CollectA's.

Haha once you collect an animal that's not normally in your purview, you appreciate it better and start getting interested in them. That's what happened to me and domestic dogs LOL (but I am only adding new ones as released, no 'backfilling').

Horses are sort of the same way. I started with a Thoroughbred for my 'synoptic' collection and now I have 5! But the other four are ancient or feral breeds... I don't see myself collecting horses like dogs (or livestock) but I could get more if there is some interesting historical or cultural aspect to them.

I receive an email from Esther from Collecta each Friday with attached images of the new figures (and descriptions in the main text). I can't remember how I subscribed, but maybe from Collecta's "Newsletter subscribe"?  ???

I've always had an appreciation for horse figures, especially those by Breyer, but they're much too large and costly for me to want to collect them. CollectA does a great job with smaller scale horses though and Pandora's box was opened once I started collecting livestock breeds. I only have a couple horses (wild/feral breeds) but I foresee myself getting others, especially draft horses. Not getting into pet breeds though, no dogs!

I'd really like a nice updated Clydesdale.

Me too! I was looking up Clydesdale figures just last week and nothing that's available impressed me much. I was considering reviewing one for the holiday season because of their association with Christmas. CollectA's appears to be the best.

EpicRaptorMan

I used to own a border collie. Smart dogs. Maybe too smart for their own good.

EpicRaptorMan

Also, the Proboscis monkey looks good although I don't think I will be replacing my current one.

I also want to add that the cuttlefish, the closest one to sparking my interest, won't be available until mid-2024
