CollectA - New for 2022

I dare say that the horse collecting community is significantly larger than the general animal collecting community. I can appreciate horse figures but unless it's a wild species I'm not too interested in them. I might get a couple domestic breeds, eventually.

I'm with you. I love CollectA's artiodactyls, and while I am very excited about the bison, I was hoping for a muntjac or some other tusked deer. Or a pronghorn! A pronghorn would be wonderful.

The only other one worth my time is Mojo's old one but even then it's not perfect.

Whoa, that's a lot of likes and a big difference! I guess more people follow their Instagram account (especially horse enthusiasts). Funnily enough, I couldn't find their Insta account until today. And I did search "Collecta" on Instagram and "Collecta Instagram" and "Collecta Biz Instagram" on Google. 

Yeah I could tell ever major brand has some significant amount of horse figures.

The closest i got to that was Schleich's old Prezwalkski's Wild Horse and CollectA's African Wild Ass. 🤣

Yeah, the Przewalski's horse is also the only one I have (have yet to get the donkey). 

And agree with all of you. Collecta is really good when it comes to ungulates in general. Maybe we'll get more of those next year.

That anglerfish is spectacular. Now I want CollectA to make more deep sea fish. Gulper eel, black swallower, viperfish, the whole lot.

I full-heartedly agree with this sentiment...  I've never even seen a black swallower figure in the Japanese lines.  But I can't wait for this anglerfish, I actually love that it's apparently large sized

Yes, I'm still around! I recently got a reviewer box from CollectA, they were so generous to send some to reviewers like me who is not a YouTuber! It's great to see that they appreciate the old fashion writer reviews to send some of their products to someone like me.
They models are beautiful and so diverse, both the prehistoric and extant.
They sent 4 prehistoric which I already posted in my thread at the DTF, for here I am posting photos of the extant ones as it is more appropriate .

Green iguana and tree python - both nice models, I especially love the iguana.

Alpaca and Plains Bison - I really love the bison and looks great next to the older one as well as the musk ox. Alpaca is cute

New African elephant - A wonderful new sculpt for this icon.Very well done and has a nice essence to it.

Hanoverian Stallionand and American Saddlebred Chestnut Liver horses - A surprise, I wasn't expecting a couple of horses! Its nice and a much needed addition to my domestic animal collection.

Baby humpback whale and emperor penguin chicks - Some cute babies

Anglerfish - My favorite of the extant animals and one I was really excited about! This model is just amazing and check out the small parasitic male!The details are just amazing!


That's all the extant animals I got recently. Hope you like the models, a truly strong set from CollectA... I do miss their antelopes!

WOW, thanks @OkapiBoy - very nice. I am more excited now for the iguana and python. Looking at the bison, I think I'll stick with the older CollectA model. This one is nice, but I see no reason to replace the one I have.
