A very impressive job there, looks brilliant. Would do well with a megalodon, if you can find one in a similar scale. PNSO maybe?

PNSO may be a good choice. I have yet to do any decent research on Megalodon models yet, may have to come back on that.

@sirenia

Did some homework. It turns out the older PNSO megalodon is too short at about 12inch/32cm, which is about 42-feet at the 1:40 scale. It wouldn't be proper to place next to an upper-bound estimate for the Livyatan. The only other figures I've found besides the CollectA deluxe model is a bunch of Generic-brand Megalodons that seem very similar to the PNSO model, but a bit shorter. The only one that properly represents the Megalodon at the scale of my Livyatan is the model being sold by the same seller that I've received my Livyatan. So maybe I can save up for that one.

My main issue there is that I'm not a fan of soft-figures.

Try the new CollectA one. And hey, the size of megalodon is speculative anyway :)

That one looks good, but I think I'll go with the older CollectA one and pass it off as a physically immature specimen.

There's only 1 collectA megalodon

I meant to say PNSO

The old pnso one has weird pelvic fins though

I'm honestly fine with it, especially given how the Megalodon's precise anatomy is largely speculative.

Have you considered the Takara tomy Ania pacific whitesided dolphin?  81v--66egtL._AC_SL1500_.jpg

No, not a fan of the articulated jaw, and the figure honestly doesn't bear a strong enough resemblance to warrant the purchase IMO. The CollectA figure I currently own suits my needs better.

Are you interested in any of the colorata ones?

The only one I'm interested in possibly getting is the Commerson's dolphin because that's a species I don't own. Other than that, I don't have too much interest in any of their species I already own.

You're like the Stephen Hillenburg of cetaceon collectors and I've learnt alot from your posts of cetaceans. I mainly focus on marine fish

Thanks for the compliment. Even though there's merit in being a specialist, I've been trying to self-correct that as of recent to help diversify my collection/expertise. Been expanding into sharks recently (baby steps) and gonna try to be a bit more well-rounded. I really needed to add more reptiles, fish, invertebrates and update some of the terrestrial mammals I already own with more quality figures. Though at the end of the day, cetaceans will remain my priorty.

I'm pretty good with sharks and stingrays. You have a fave Chondrichthyes? Mine is the manta ray

sirenia

Any whales you want them to produce but aren't? Extant or extinct.

I don't believe I've developed favorite yet.

I DID IT! I found one of my ''white whales''

The both retired and quite rare Safari Ltd Monterey Bay Aquarium Pacific White-sided dolphin (Lagenorhynchus obliquidens)<- Proposed new genus name, Sagmatias, a sister genus to Cephalorhynchus. I bought this from a lot that came with some figures I already owned, the Bottlenose dolphin adult ( though an older cast, might keep), the Beluga mother and calf, an older version of the narwhal with a bent tusk, sawfish, and manta ray.
