Funny, I was on Schleich's website yesterday (researching an upcoming Blog review) and I noticed the macaque is available! I'll wait for the others of interest, however.

I'll wait for the figures to become available in physical stores and then decide if I really like them.  :)

Yeah that would probably be best. Schleich has had a history of having lower/differing quality of the actual product compared to advertisements.

Arctinus

Yeah, that's why I'll wait to check the figures in person. Schleich is the only brand available in physical stores here, so that shouldn't be a problem.  ^-^

Does Schleich usually release their next year's figures early? I've noticed the fire salamander, American black bear, Japanese macaque, African buffalo and armadillo being available already at Modelpferdeversand.

Yes they should release in January. Those are early 'bonuses'. They are also on the Schleich USA retail site.

I'm worried we are not seeing available those that were only announced in the Edeka catalogues ...
Are we sure those are going to be released worldwide?

EpicRaptorMan

Schleich is good about being the first to release their stuff

I bougth the quokka on a stationery the 29th December 2018. It was new for 2019. I usually see some Schleich in stationerys or toy shops at the end of year previous to the release year. Schleich is always the first brand to release figures, while Safari tend to be the last, some figures not being available until the summer of the release year.

Historically, Safari was the earliest (at least in the US); they were often available in November (in plenty of time for Xmas). Now they are by far the slowest.

EpicRaptorMan

Yeah all of SafariLtd's 2023 releases were just announced. Some/most won't be available until 2024.

So I did watch a short unboxing of some of the new Schleich figures and I am actually quite surprised by the Ibex, black bear and fire salamander. I especially like the face of the Ibex.

Thanks, makes sense! :D

EpicRaptorMan

Playback on other websites is disabled by the creator. These are two videos where he unboxes the new 2024 Schleich Armadillo and Ibex and the other one the Bonobo and Japanese Macaque (Click on "Watch on Youtube" to view the videos on Youtube). But basically, it's a Youtube Channel called "Funimalia". The  creator of the channel unboxes and reviews animal figures. Highly recommend to check his channel to you collectors here.
