I actually like the 'actual' photo more than the 'stock' photo (at least the actual animal doesn't have that stupid smirk on its face!)

I should have the caracal Monday or Tuesday (I don't have a local place to buy Schleich, or any animal figures, actually, that I know of)

Honestly looks slightly more catlike to me but I don't know if that's just the different angle.  I get that it looks more simplified though, I'm guessing the paint job will invariably be a bit varied from model to model.

@bmathison1972 the irl Caracal as a smirk on its face too

in those pics it doesn't look nearly as bad as the promo pic, to me

Kinda hard to tell if the smirk is there or not, guys. It's a head-on photograph where the face obscures the corners of the mouth. Looks like a TOOB or Yowie figure to me, but will certainly cost more than either.  I suppose we'll have a clearer picture soon enough.

@Gwangi HappyHenToys has more photos of the product available on their website and shows a full 360°

The Harpy Eagle also is below expectations it seems. :(

I didn't realize that. Thank you! Yeah, I can see that there is no cute little smirk on the actual figure, which is a good thing. Still not enthralled with it though. Looks like the only 2023 Schleich animal I'll be getting is the Galloway cow.

I am still getting the caracal; who knows when we'll get another chance at one (actually, it might be delivered today LOL).

Gwangi - I had to buy another figure to get to the $10 minimum, so I bought the Schleich Holstein too :)

EpicRaptorMan

Idk I still see the smirk on the actual photo too...not that I noticed the smirk from the stock photo in the first place.

@bmathison1972 well post pics here of the caracal when you do get it.

I plan on reviewing it for the Blog; probably this upcoming weekend

I will stick with trying to hunt down the Playvisions caracal. This one still looks like a cartoon character to me.

Doesn't look as bad in-hand. Looking at the promo pic, I think it was the combination of a smirk and the eyes that bothered me. The actual toy is more subdued. Anyway I am happy with it. Expect a Blog review before the end of the weekend.

I think the Schleich Caracal has a better sculpt than PlayVision's.

I will look forwards to it for making my decision!

The aardvark is so small it could be use as a baby for the Mojo's... If it weren't fur the hair that the figure has but the real babies haven't.
