I always thought this species was a sub species of the barn owl.  ???
Don't I take long uploading photos!

I haven't seen anything indicating that it was ever considered that...although there do seem to be a few subspecies of Tyto alba that are considered by some authories to be their own species; maybe you got mixed up with those?
(a.k.a. Ravonium, on the DTF and STS)

Did someone say barn owl?

Papo (Barn) Owl

  • Wild Animals series
  • released 2013
  • height 6 cm, length 6.5-7.5 cm
  • scale 1:5-1:6
Don't know why Papo couldn't bother to specify this figure beyond "owl", but it's quite nice nonetheless.

A couple owls by Kaiyodo

1. Burrowing Owl; 2024 reissue of a 2015 figure in the Fortune Owl collection.

2. Ural owls. The adult is from the Natural Monuments collection (not to be confused with the Natural Monuments of Japan collection), which is a reissue of several of the original Chocoegg figures. The chicks are from the 2024 reissue of the 2015 Fortune Owl Collection.

I plan on buying the part two set of the Kaiyodo owls. Does anyone want the white barn owl? I plan on selling it.
