The second volume of the scarabs collection, now available:

And some 'cute' reptiles (but possibly interesting species):

Is there a species list for the reptile set? I see obviously bearded dragons, a leopard gecko, and ball pythons, but the monitor especially is interesting to me.
Always looking for new species...

@endogenylove - not that I am aware of, but you might be able to try some translation software. Also one @brettnj might be able to ask his contact in Japan for names.

Lanthanotus

The Japanese Herp community seems especially fond of the Perentie Varanus giganteus and the blotches running across the back in bands may hint that way. However, the eye stripe is abaent in that species and can be seen in V. gouldii and often even more prominent in V. panoptes. The blotched pattern would tend more towards gouldii, but as there are few safely identified specimen in husbandry but a lot of panoptes and hybrids (due to the confusion in identification and taxonomy during the 90's and early 2000's) I guess this artistic rendition means to represent a "gouldii" (panoptes x gouldii hybrid).
Hopefully Brett can enlighten us.

It must be the gouldii because the translation from my source is gourde.

Lanthanotus

I am unaware of the hybrids' behaviour, but panoptes (at least wild ones) tend to be wild and aggressive when caught, while gouldii is shy and tame once gotten hold of. According to keepers this translates into a tame behaviour in husbundry, so I guess this species choice makes sense for these "stubby" pet reptiles. Thanks, Brett.

Available now, some birds. Not sure what the 'gimmick' is, if there is one (do they sing? are they soft?)

Just to clarify they're hollow vinyl figures similar to their pokemon kid figure line. There's also a series on sea animals and cute furry animals. The mine is called tenori friends which means small enough to sit on your hand
