Correction, here are the names (and new pics) of the crabs:
@stargatedalek whaddya think? :)

1. Calappa lophos:

2.Calappa philargius [new species in the toy realm]:

3. Scylla serrata:

4. Atergatis floridus:

These are probably comparable in size to the Dango Mushi figure: http://animaltoyforum.com/blog/2020/05/25/red-streaked-box-crab-dango-mushi-06-by-bandai/

I think I'm gonna need to order a second set! If not a third, I'm simply adoring the mangrove crab and I'd love to have multiples for scenes.

Interesting that two of these are repaints of a DangoMushi figure but this set is seemingly being marketed in the spin-off series.

Apparently, the two Calappa are new sculpts (or at least the refined the old sculpt)

I hope Bandai releases a red eared slider so I can piss mine off because he hates any of my turtle figures bigger than him

Life with Insect Vol. 2. Three duplications, but check out that Idolomantis diabolica!

The three caterpillars will be released a month later (april 2021) than initially planned (march).

Good to know, thanks. I'll only be getting the mantid

Beetle guy

A better look on the three caterpillars Bandai (Gacha) is going to release 25th of April.

Available now, some birds. Not sure what the 'gimmick' is, if there is one (do they sing? are they soft?)

Isidro

They're as realistic as the previous series of kingfishers (almost all Halcyon spp) from which you acquired a couple of species. Some of the rounder species in real life (tit, lovebirds) could pass as realistic models. They chosed intentionally species that in real life can look like fluffy and round and cute. The paintjob is incredibly well done for all. In case anyone is interested there are the species (left to right and then up to down):

Passer montanus (Eurasian tree sparrow)
Aegithalos caudatus (Long-tailed tit)
Nymphicus hollandicus (Cockatiel) white mutation
Padda oryzivora (Java sparrow) white mutation
Agapornis fischeri (Fischer's lovebird)
Forpus coelestis (Pacific parrotlet) blue mutation
Coracias caudata (Lilac-breasted roller)
Eolophus roseicapillus (Galah)
Nymphicus hollandicus (Cockatiel) pale mutation
Padda oryzivora (Java sparrow)
Padda oryzivora (Java sparrow) pale mutation
Agapornis fischeri (Fischer's lovebird) pastel mutation

(names of mutations are of my own, not official)

The next Dango Mushi line featuring an armadillo. Not sure if the beetle or isopods represent new species or repained variants, I'll have to snoop around

EDIT: the bicolored isopod appears to be a species of Cubaris commonly referred to as 'Rubber Ducky' variant but I cannot find if it has been assigned to a given species (yet)

@Beetle guy - any thoughts on the beetle?
