Editor’s note: Time for another addition by brontodocus! This time we selected the 2006 Brahman bull by Safari LTD for their Safari Farm line. I selected this figure to introduce another group of mammals to the blog, and to introduce our first domesticated animal. The Brahman is a domestic breed of zebu (Bos taurus indicus). Although the zebu is native to Southeast Asia, the Brahman was originally bred in the United States, by crossing four Asian breeds, including the Ongole, which was also made by Safari in 2018. Like many of brontodocus’ early posts, this one is few in words by heavy in fantastic images. Now, on to his walkaround:
Walk-around of the recently retired Safari Ltd. Safari Farm Brahma Bull (a Zebu breed), Bos taurus indicus (Linnaeus, 1758). Snout-vent length is 115 mm, shoulder height 74 mm, scale approx. 1:20 – 1:24. Charles Darwin figure (from the Accoutrements “Evolving Darwin Playset”) is approx. 1:22.5 scale.

Beautiful photos, as always. Is Safari Farm a Wild Safari sub-line or something separate?
No, Safari Farm is not a subgroup of Wild Safari.
This is a nice figure. I have the CollectA version of this breed for my Synoptic Collection, but this is a fine figure nonetheless. As noted in brontodocus’ review, the figure is retired and might be harder to find these days. Neither of the major distributors I use (MiniZoo and Happy Hen Toys) have the Safari version.
I like how elegant this one is 🙂
Me too! 🙂 I wonder why it had to be retired, maybe it just didn’t sell good enough? The Papo Zebu is retired, too… :-\
