Headed to Big Bear – Bald Eagles & Toy Hunt

Hey everyone,

I'm heading up to Big Bear, California soon, and I'm pretty excited because this year a pair of bald eagles hatched two eaglets there! 🦅 They've since grown and fledged, but I'm hoping I might catch a glimpse of them or their parents while I'm there.

I'll also be doing some fishing on the lake — but part of the trip will definitely be soaking in the wildlife.

Since this is Animal Toy Forum, I figured I'd ask: Do any of you know where I can find some cool bald eagle figures or models to decorate my office? Could be realistic figurines, plush, or even something a bit stylized — just looking for quality.

Also, has anyone here spent much time in Big Bear? Any animal-related spots I shouldn't miss while I'm up there?

I've never been to Big Bear but I know what eagles you're talking about, I popped in on their live cam from time-to-time.

As for bald eagle toys, I think Safari Ltd. makes the best bald eagles and they are both available on their website. The smaller one is part of the Wings of the World line and the larger one is part of the Incredible Creatures line. And for plush eagles, my daughter has the 12" Cuddlekins bald eagle by Wild Republic. We bought it at our local wildlife refuge but it's also on amazon. It's quite nice, I don't collect plush but I like it.
