Hey guys. I found this Polar bear among some old toys here at home. It says 1992 New-ray on the underside. I was wondering if its anything of value. Does anyone know anything about this brand or line it belongs to?

bmathison1972

Very nice; no word on the value but New Ray is the brand. They produced many interesting figures, often on bases. @Roger @widukind are either of you familiar with it?

These figures you can find sometimes for a cheap price. Especially the usual species. A few of the unusual species are interesting, but i am not sure that many collectors search for that.

Thanks guys, appreciate the help. I also found another figure, seems like a jaguar climbing on a log, from the same brand.

I own a rubbery Malayan tapir which used to squeak. It has some writing on its belly in either Chinese or Japanese. It's slightly larger than the Schleich model. Can anyone help me identify the brand. I may post a pic but if it can be identified without one that would be helpful.  :)

You are highly unlikely to get any confirmatory identification help (company or species) without an image

Here is the pic of the tapir.  :)

Where is this from?

This is the Cameroon sailfin chameleon by CollectA.

Must be a ripoff then. Otherwise it'd have that information on its belly.

Very plausible isn't it?!  :o

yes, unless the writing is elsewhere (down a leg or on the tail). But most-likely it is a knock-off.

Anyone got any idea who or which company made this Chinese paddlefish? It seems like it's 3D printed due to it originating from a digital model, and is available in multiple sizes, allegedly. Discovered it on the chinese shopping site 闲鱼, where second hand goods are usually sold/traded.

Ohhh damn, they copied my idea for a species but did an infinitely better model than mine! I absolutely love it and if it's enough cheap I maybe should substitute my own model of the species by this one...

P. D. Do you have a link for the page where the figure is sell? I've tried to find it myself using the name of the chinese shop you wrote (i'ts TaoBao, where I already bought CBIOV figures), but I was unable to find nothing.

闲鱼 is a branch of TaoBao that specialises in second hand stuff, and is quite tricky to navigate. Especially since I dont think theres a desktop version available, only available in app form.

The large one (50cm) is being quoted at 1080 RMB, around 156 USD. No info on whether or not it comes painted and assembled. No info on prices for smaller options, which come in 25cm, 30cm, 35cm and 40cm.

I'm currently hesitant on ordering due to 2 sellers on the site using the exact same photos as seen below, just with a different signature at the bottom right corner. Dunno if both are legit, or if one of them is running a scam.
Here are the shop names of the 2 sellers:
闲鱼@小河马1983
闲鱼@zhangkaiqu1

Isidro

Thanks for the info :) Even the 25 cm one would be too large for me, and the price is also too large :P plus I can't navigate in this web since I use Internet with desktop only. I hope you're able to find the manufacturer, maybe the best option is contact the sellers and ask them?

Does anyone recognise the company for either of these two miniature figures? (Each is a different company)

The crab, by the way, has been put aside for @bmathison1972 if he decided he wants it.

stargatedalek

If I had to guess I think the crab is Imaginext. They did a sealife series a few years ago that had a very similar style and a few sets had various deep sea animals in solid colours like this as accessories.

bmathison1972

Yes @animaltoyforum I still want the crab; I'll send you an email :). Sorry I forgot :)

Thanks for the suggestion. I found some similar crabs by Imaginext but couldn't find an exact match. I'll keep looking.

This one has a cute smiley face, if that helps.
