Mushi King Card Case by Sega.
Not sure if there are actual figures or if they are figures/images embedded in acrylic or plastic.

Toys Spirits Shellfish with a Lid Mascot Volume 4 (or 5, I have lost count). None of these appear to be new species and look like repaints or reissues from earlier sets.

bmathison1972

These have shown up on eBay as Eikoh Minatureplanet new for 2023. Not sure if legit or not (individual figures have the Minatureplanet tag).

My initial IDs:
1. Cape buffalo
2. Ostrich
3. Sun Bear
4. Rockhopper penguin
5. African lion cub
6. African lion adult
7. Tiger
8. Aardvark
9. Mongoose (species?)
10. Sand Cat
11. Jackson's chameleon
12. monkey (species? squirrel?)
13. tortoise (Indian star vs. Burmese star?)
14. Rattlesnake (western diamondback? eastern diamondback?)
15. Marine Iguana
16. Argentine horned frog

@brettnj - do your contacts in Japan know anything about this?

A sandcat would be great! Maybe the mongoose too...

bmathison1972

I am interested in the mongoose (species? Egyptian?), monkey (if it's a squirrel monkey other than the common squirrel monkey), and rattlesnake (if Eikoh markets as a species I don't have).
I have the Beauty of Beasts sand cat, otherwise that would be very high on my priority list :)

Isidro

Sand cat and falanouc will be added to my wishlist! Anybody knows the size?

bmathison1972

yes a falanouc is a much better ID than a true mongoose.

Eikoh figures are rather small; I'd guess they will be 4-6 cm depending on the species.

Yeah, as a falanouc it would be awesome! A definite must!
But I'll want to see an official naming

Isidro

This size is fantastic for me! But I've found the site on eBay where these animals are being sold, and unfortunately, only the lion cub and the rattlesnake are available :( :-( :-(
Anyway, in that eBay page the detail of the figures are better seen and I'm slightly in doubt in acquiring the falanouc as it's not very detailed in fur texture.

BlueKrono

I would ID the turtle as a Burmese star tortoise. I'd be interested in that one and the frog.
I like turtles.

brettnj

I will of course be offering these soon, and with our usual half fees for any 8 (new or old) Eikohs purchased.

Please PM if interested.

Thanks.
Brett

Tin cans as sealife form??

The bivalves are quite detailed, but the starfishes are so simplistic :(
