Gentoos are my favorite species of penguin. I collect all three species of brush-tailed, though it can get iffy with Adelies and your generic black and white penguins!
I like turtles.

Working on some other RTF fish, but wanted to mention that I've had to make some updates on a few previous posts.

Thanks to the Wayback machine I have been able to did up some detail on the figures (which were never marked, and never had much for supporting material).

For the Little Kern golden trout https://animaltoyforum.com/blog/little-kern-golden-trout-by-replica-toy-fish/ it was determined that the intended subspecies was the Kern River golden trout (or KR rainbow trout, same thing). I've made a note at the end, but based on colours and known reference material I would stand by my identification.

I also discovered that everyone has the 3" muskellunge and tiger musky backwards. Based on the same pages, the tiger muskie is the lighter, reddish model; the muskellunge is the darker, brownish one. These are two figures that already look incredibly similar and again, with no supporting material or markings has been very ambiguous. I don't think I'll do a full rewrite, but have made a more definitive a note on that post https://animaltoyforum.com/blog/northwoods-fish-set-part-2-by-replica-toy-fish/. Partially because I think the sculpts give good reason to leave them as is. The lighter red fish has features in common with the pike (dorsal fin) and the dark muskie figure (tail fin, proportions) while those two stand pretty distinct from each other. Maybe the very slightly open mouth was supposed to be the giveaway?

Anyway, just pointing that out. I'll have a couple more figures up soon.
