Dude! I had one scheduled to go in about 20 minutes. Good thing I got the email.

I think this has come up before -- the calendar on the blog site indicates if there's a post scheduled. I almost never just post when I'm done, I prefer to schedule.

Sorry about that. I can take it down so that you can post yours if you like.

I'm admittedly not good at checking the calendar. I've been posting on a first come first serve basis (if there's not a new post up, I post) for over a decade and scheduled posts on a calendar is a somewhat new concept to me. I'll try to remember it in the future!

I was posting consistently on weekends but they became so congested with reviews that I thought posting in the middle of the week would be better.  :P

EDIT: @sbell where is the calendar where your review is scheduled? The calendar on the forum does not indicate there is a review to be posted today, just that it's another member's birthday.

@Gwangi - it's not on the forum calendar. When you log into the Blog and go to the dashboard, it shows what's coming up:

And then when you go to Posts, it's also shown:

I assume this is visible to all authors. In the off-chance it's only visible to admin, then I would suggest reviewers let everyone know on the Animal Toy Blog Schedule thread on the forum what date you have scheduled.

Don't worry about changing it, I bumped it.

@bmathison1972 I know I can see it that one. There's also one on the publisher page:

The dots are present for anything posted or scheduled.

I don't see anything about the fish review on the activity list but I found it scheduled on the All Posts tab. I cannot find the calendar on the blog at all. I'm sure it is there but it's certainly not obvious, not like the one on the forum at least. I never knew it was there! The one on the forum also has scheduled reviews so I always assumed that was the calendar to be looking at. Kind of a messy way to keep track of things but whatever, now I know, won't happen again. I will make sure to check the All Posts tab whenever I think of posting.

Weird, should have been on the activity list. But whatever, these things happen. Not the end of the world.
I always forget about the forum calendar to be honest.

I will admit, the calendar is not very user intuitive! The calendar on the Blog is under 'Publish' in the upper right hand corner. There is a drop-down near immediately which shows it.

I found it! Since I always publish immediately I never thought to play around with that feature, so I never saw that calendar before. I don't even type my reviews on the blog. I copy and paste them from word, upload the pictures, deal with the different tags and categories, and then hit publish. There are a lot of things I on the dashboard I never play around with. So even though I use the blog I really just use it to get the reviews on there.

I got used to doing everything in there myself from my own blog. There's lots of good functionality when you find it!

I really like scheduling, since I can see what the overall landscape is, like if the week has been busy!

You can also use it to mark a day in advance, even with just a placeholder so nobody accidentally overlaps. Like your MTB for Christmas day!
