Hi there,

I'm new to the forum and am currently on the hunt for a collection I used to have. Now, I don't recall the name but I have a couple other clues that might help. I've tried an exhaustive search online to no prevail.

Description of model: Birds of prey, from around the world. Action type (Flying) on a clear, plastic stand. Made of medium-hard plastic. Each figure had a bio about the animal.
Time: Early nineties, from 1991-1994
Place: Kmart stores, in Carrollton, TX

I remember being ten and obsessed with birds. I went every other week to buy one. Just trying to start my collection again.

Thanks!
Amber

P.S this is a Moluccan Cockatoo I work with named Mango.

the only thing that sounds familiar is this gashapon set (http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~CH2M-NITU/eggjbirde.htm) but would be surprised if it was sold in US retail shops.

You might also be interested in the Colorata birds of prey set (dont have a link handy) or the 2014 set of owls by Kaiyodo (http://www.capsuleq.in/m/index.htm).

Given the time frame it doesn't sound like a Gashapon set--Animaltales and the like didn't show up until the late 90s, and the set you are showing is from about 2002 or so.

It couldn't be Play Visions, because they didn't use stands. I am almost tempted to say that it was from the heyday of K&M International when their figures were everywhere and very well made. But I don't recognize the actual description.
