I wish the pictures still worked. A lot seem not to on this site. Only Cape Buffalo's actually show up.
I like turtles.

Sorry for that and thanks for the heads up... my images are hosted on facebook and were never deleted but fb seems to change the image urls from time to time without notification. It's suboptimal to host images there but it's for free and has no bandwith or storage size limit. If you come across other walk-arounds you'd like to see updated, please let me know. It'll take some time when there are many to fix but the images are still hosted more or less in the same order they were originally placed in the walk-around so after the urls are fixed everything should look like new. Here in this case, the images should be visible again. :)

Edited 2017-02-04: Fixed broken image urls - now hosted on postimage.org

Walk-around photos of Wildlife Wonders Asian Elephant are back. :)

I may be wrong but is this the same model as the 2012 African Elephant male? It looks very similar to me. 😊
Don't I take long uploading photos!

Where can you get the Sol90 elephant? I love that model and would really like it in my collection.  :)

I really wish someone would make a toy of the African forest elephant. It deserves as much attention as the other two species.

I wanted to ask:
Which major company made the best African and Asian elephant?
Schleich, CollectA, Mojo, Safari, Papo...

That's a tough question and it is open to a lot of different opinions which really comes down to personal preference. When I built my Synotic Collection, I had a hard time deciding on an African elephant in the approximate size I wanted. I ended up going with the old Safari figure (originally released in 1997 but updated more recently with better, matte paint job). For the Indian, I went with Mojo.

With no doubt the best elephants both African and Asian are the DaFei models, such as https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/dj0AAOSwm4tdbHgJ/s-l1600.jpg and https://img.alicdn.com/imgextra/i2/390411915/TB2dEWfnpXXXXcdXpXXXXXXXXXX_!!390411915.jpg but they're big, and extremely expensive

CollectA really needs to replace its current elephants, just like they did with their white rhino, their tiger, their lion, and others.

Indeed they are :o
Though I am personally looking to more affordable options, and figures that would scale well with Eofauna's Proboscids. 1:35 to 1:40 scale.

Was hoping for elephant remakes this year, but oh well. Guess horses are more interesting  :-\

Does anybody have pictures of the Safari Ltd. African and Asian elephants so I can compare them? I have the African Bull Elephant, and I want to know if the two Asian elephant models are in scale.

There is another one made by Plastoy. It is not nearly as nice (I am guessing--I've only seen one picture).

It's not exactly Schleich quality (nothing Plastoy is) but it would be fun to get a couple to round out an army!

The Plastoy one looks like kommo-o.
