It has been almost a full year since I have gotten to do any real photoshoots! With lots of life changes (like moving to another state) I have been too busy.  I took a small vacation and visited the Oregon Coast. I took lots of figures with me, but sadly the beaches we visited didn't have great rock outcroppings or tidepools for lots of the modern animals I brought... but it turned out to be a great opportunity for some prehistoric animal shots. I will post these in a few batches as I have time to go through my photos and pick the ones that I like best (will post my prehistorics on DTF too).

To start, here are the few marine life photos I got.

Papo edible crab

AAA hermit crab

Schleich wobbegong

Nature Technicolor Japanese giant salamander

Safari Crested Newt

PV long-tailed salamander

Sea wolves (Safari, Schleich, Mojo)

Safari sleepy dragon

Safari green chinese dragon

Papo swallowtail

That's it for now! Lots of prehistoric shots coming soon. :)

Isidro

The edible crab and the second giant salamander photo are atonishing, they could pass easily for the photos of the alive creatures!

Thank you Isidro! It goes to show the superior sculpting of the figures themselves, rather than my photography skills. ;)

Finally, my prehistoric offerings... I am certain that you CANNOT detect a species bias. ;)

CollectA Dimetrodon

Schleich Styracosaurus

Schleich Tarbosaurus

Unfortunate CollectA Edaphosaurus

Papo special edition Spinosaurus

I have a working vision for these two Diabloceratops by Schleich and Safari... a female attempts escape while the male doggedly pursues her. ;)

The old Schleich Anhanguera (a tribute to BBC WWD)

One of 2 new prehistoric finds this past weekend. And a model of a beloved species, Safari Allosaurus.

And another spinosaurid, Safari's Baryonyx.

And this concludes my coast trip photography (the other's shots didn't turn out as I would have liked). I hope you enjoyed the walk from the past!

Isidro

The water and persperctive adds a new level of incredible realism to your photos. They're incredible. My favourite are:

These could pass easily for photos of alive dinosaurs. You did a true art work making the composition looking like as if the figures are not miniatures.

Saarlooswolfhound

Thank you Isidro, your words mean a lot. :) I don't over think them but... a lot of thought does go into the composition as I gauge what opportunity in landscape is around me.

I took Safari's WW alligator to the river to play in the duck weed. :)

Gwangi

I did the same thing with my WW alligator and posted it on my Facebook account. Had a lot of people fooled into thinking it was real. It's a fantastic figure.

Here's mine.

I went to go visit my eldest sister and her family in Wyoming this past weekend. On the way I stopped at my favorite place, Fossil Butte National Monument (and realized its only about 2 hours away from where I live now!). I just love the scenery there and my plan was to do some long shelved photography. These didn't all turn out quite how I would have liked, but I decided to share them anyway. I hope you enjoy.

And now to share a small glimpse of this place:

And lastly... I am not usually one for bathroom humor myself but... This is a full display in their bathroom.

And the display immediately outside the bathroom door.

Good for a chuckle at least right?
