That turtle is incredible!

The original is decades out of production and annoying to find, I'd love to have a source to get me one of these KO's.

Found this guy in an ebay lot recently. Made of cheaper material but not quite a "chinamal" grade. Its marked zebra shark, china, and the number 1 on its fin. Any ideas?

Does anybody recognize this figure/have an idea what brand it might be?  It only has "made in China"...

Saarlooswolfhound

Any ideas on brands or species for these? I think the only models I will be keeping for sure are the rat and fox.

Shane

The rat is an accessory for the Playmates Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Rat King figure (either the original vintage version or more likely one of its more recent re-issues).

It plugs into a cross bow accessory. You can see it here: https://alltimetoys.com/playmates-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-reissue-rat-king/

The antelope looks like a copy of a Britains figure that has been recast so many times it's not possible to know when it came from.

Saarlooswolfhound

Thank you both! I knew the antelope was something like a Britains but I am very new to these older toys. And thanks Shane for the rat ID, that's interesting! My brother had a ton of those action figures as a kid.

Saarlooswolfhound

Any thoughts? Thrift store find so I have no info. It seems awfully familiar though...

Or someone got creative with paint. Any markings on the bottom @Saarlooswolfhound ?

If it is a bootleg, that's the first time I've heard of any bootlegs (or recasts) from the K&M days

I know its a bootleg, bit I have no idea of the brand. The figure is quite small and has no stamp. I'll try to add a pic of its underside later today. Unfortunately I don't have he K&M model to compare it to directly.

K&M's insects were shared with other companies, but they probably sourced the same original manufacturer rather than being a 'bootleg' scenario.

EDIT: I know Wing Mau for example made K&M's Insects Bulk figures: https://toyanimalwiki.mywikis.wiki/wiki/K%26M_Insects_Bulk

I do, there's a blog post for it.

It's from about 1999 and at that time, a lot of K&M were exclusive to them. Ones like this shark (exotic sharks bulk) and their endangered reptiles bulk sets are still awesome if you can find them, but until now I've never seen any recasts of those like we sometimes do with Play Visions or Safari. Maybe someone found the molds?
