Hello friends, this is the figure of Manatee calf (Trichechus sp) Linnaeus, 1758 of Collecta - Sea Life. Total lenght is 50mm. This figure was relased in 2011 and it is avaliable nowaday. Manatees are large, fully aquatic, mostly herbivorous marine mammals sometimes known as "sea cows". They have a large, flexible, prehensile upper lip. They use the lip to gather food and eat, as well as using it for social interactions and communications. Manatees have shorter snouts than their fellow sirenians, the dugongs. I think that this specie is a West Indian manatee (Trichechus manatus).















Collecta is a young brand of figures, but in his short time of existence, they have done a lot of figures of different species of animals (included rare species of dinosaurs and animals). In their cattegory of sea life, they have included the Manatee calf. This figure is a perfect representation of this mammal. The colors are exact and the details are awesome. I think that it is one of the best figures of this animal.  I bought this figure in Sarasus (toys store) in Madrid one month ago .
