@sbell - I asked on the Blog but figured it would be good to ask here too. Where did you get that diorama? Did you make it? I can easily put something like that to use :)

I did make it! Started with a 3d printed base, then mixed in natural materials and some modeling materials!

The water line is cut from a plastic acetate sheet that we sell to print making students at work!

I got tired of not having a decent underwater photo background. I'm planning a couple others as well.

Very nice, I'm glad you were able to get this as honestly, I do not know how the GLFC decides to distribute these, so unfortunately can't help anyone who's looking for one.

They ordered quite a bit though, so they are out there. The figure was made to their exact specs, with lots of revisions in order to get everything just right, from the sculpt to the paint to the feel of the figure.

So it should really be the definitive lamprey collectible for whoever is into that sort of thing.

It's in the blog post, but 46cm long. Modest size for a landlocked adult

It's definitely one of my prized figures. Looks good with the Marsh Education figures (but miles ahead of them of course)

I think I was the first collector-type to reach out and was very convincing. I put a few people in touch that asked, mostly fishery professionals, so that makes sense anyway.
