Hello friends, this is the figure of Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes) Linnaeus, 1758 of Schleich-Wild Life. Total lenght 70 mm. This figure is of 2004 line of figures and currently is retired. The red fox originated from smaller-sized ancestors from Eurasia during the Middle Villafranchian period, and colonised North America shortly after the Wisconsin glaciation. Among the true foxes, the red fox represents a more progressive form in the direction of carnivory. The species has a long history of association with humans, having been extensively hunted as a pest and furbearer for centuries, as well as being prominently represented in human folklore and mythology.

Schleich are one of the oldest brands that they do figures currently. They have done new figures of some old replicas. This is one of their old treasures. This figure is worse in details than the new red foxes, but I think that this figure is enchanting. The proportions of this figure are corrects. The hair is good (I think that this foxes have a summer hair because they have less hair in their tails. The stand of this figure is wonderful for some dioramas. I think that this figure is one of the best figure of red foxes of its time. I bought this figure in a store of Jerez de la Frontera (Spain) ^-^.

Cute figure, I'm a huge lover of canids. Especially foxes. Although I do prefer Schleich's newer figure of the red fox. :)
