Hello friends, this is the figure of European Hedgehog (Erinaceus europaeus) Linnaeus, 1758 of Schleich-Wild Life. Total lenght 90 mm. This figure is of 2009 line of figures and currently is avaliable. It found in western Europe, from Spain and Italy northwards into Scandinavia. This species is largely nocturnal. It has a hesitant gait, frequently stopping to smell the air. Unlike the smaller, warmer-climate species, the European hedgehog may hibernate in the winter and it  is omnivorous, feeding mainly on invertebrates.

Hedhog figures are a good resource for figure brands and Schleich is not different. These are the cubs of old figure of European Hedgehog (http://animaltoyforum.com/index.php?topic=250.0). I think that they have the ideal size form my point of view because I think of the adult figure the same that the red squirrel: Is too big. Proportions, color and sculpture are nice. I bougth these figure two weeks ago in a store of Cádiz (Spain)  ^-^.
