This is review of the "Electricray" (Common Torpedo, Torpedo torpedo) made by Nayab as a part of their Deep Sea World series (see Sphyrna18's comment).  The figure is made of hard plastic and is about 8 cm long, about 1:25 scale.  It is fairly accurate, although the dorsal and pelvic fins seem a little too large and the underside is missing gills and apparently a mouth.

I'm amused that they took the time to label it, and did a pretty good job overall, then didn't sculpt a mouth or gills. I can't tell from the photos--are the spiracles and eyes clearly sculpted?

Thanks for sharing, Varanus, it's an interesting and unique figure and I'm not aware of any other Torpedo Ray figures. :) If only another seller than the one you bought it from would offer one I'd probably get one, too... :-\

Sometimes, Uknown brands do wonderful figures. This figure is a good example  ^-^.

The spiracles are nicely sculpted, but bulge outward more like eyes.  The eyes below them are more subtle, basically just slightly raised vertical ovals.

Very nice find! I got this figure from an Ebay seller a few weeks ago. It's a really good figure for a really low price.  It's produced by Nayab as part of their Deep Sea World series. Mine was sold with a Scalloped Hammerhead Shark and Moray Eel as a set and was released by a company called Lontic. They also have released Nayab's Arctic and Antarctic Aniamals series.

This figure can be seen in the set in the upper left corner of the page here:

Thanks for sharing Sphyrna18! :)  I'll update the thread with this info.

Ah, so it's Nayab then! :) The other colour variant is nice, too. I'll keep my eyes open for one.

Such an inconsistent company--I have several of their smaller figures (coati, for example) which are pretty good, but many are just awful.

Although I've seen many of those offered by FUL or Waiphoon as the manufacturer (and some questions are answered--like who makes the mystery Placerias!).

Sbell, thanks for solving the mystery that Nayab is the manufacturer of the "Chinasaur" Placerias, Item 122 in link:
