Unfortunately I don't have much info about it. The catalogs I have date back to 1998, and the Vampire Bat is in there, but it was gone by the 1999 catalog, so it didn't last very long.

Maybe it was fragile and thus was retired? I know that in my house growing up if it was left out ajd trampled on it'd be toast.

Pretty sure it's a Deagostini eel figure. They're a flexible/stretchy figure. I have it, it's fine but nothing special
