I have the crested newt and I have a source for the red-cheeked. All I will need now is the impossible-to-find mudpuppy. I am half-tempted to hunt down a GITD and have it painted.

There's a GITD that's been consistently hanging around eBay for a not unreasonable amount of money.

I know because it pops up every time I periodically search "Safari Mudpuppy".

https://www.ebay.com/itm/333329427315 if you're feeling artistic.

I saw it. I am not artistic. LOL. Well, not in that medium. I would need to see who I could commission to paint it first  ::)

For that price it's really tempting. I would prefer the natural colored one but I'll probably never get one.

A couple unusual lots from the same seller, up for bid:

a couple more sea animals with words on them, this time an octopus and a crab:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/286172413823

and a bunch of rubber sea animals including a couple deep sea fish:
(I thought these were the same molds as the DeAgostini figures at first but they appear to be a little different)

I have the deep sea fish. They're small, about 1.5" long. Not like DeAgostini. I bought them in a pack of stretchy deep sea fish I found in a store. Very similar to these; possibly even same brand:
https://treehousetoys.us/products/stretchy-lizards

They are particularly prone to color transfer from contiguous figures, so I try to keep them from touching others.
I like turtles.

Plush fangtooth, but listed as an anglerfish:

Plush anglerfish listed as an anglerfish:

And here's a lot with what appears to be another possible version or bootleg of the AAA cuttlefish (it doesn't appear to have the AAA marking)

I just want the ray that's almost a butterfly ray. Only problem is that Canada has no parcel delivery right now (also, it costs too much to Canada, but I've done crazier things).

Apparently they're Toy Major, not that it helps

Tempting, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

Safari Ltd Nile Monitor, somehow with all fingers/toes: https://www.ebay.com/itm/286191644793

Saarlooswolfhound

Oh it is gorgeous... And I quite like the seller. But I can't do that right now either. Hope the buyer might be a lucky collector!

stargatedalek

I was about to grab it but it's an auction, never mind.

tempting, as the price is very reasonable, but I wouldn't know what to do with any of the other figures, and would feel bad just throwing them out.

Same, though I could probably find space for the bearded dragon and weird Diplocaulus. Mostly I'm just trying not to buy stuff for myself during the holiday season, I shouldn't even be on eBay right now!

Could always donate them to a thrift shop or something.

The price for just the newt is reasonable

Super expensive but really cool looking football fish, very detailed for a plush

Here's a link to a small lot of fish from the old Kenner Wonder World gel aquarium series. Seven marine animals for $16 - looks like it's mostly fish from the "Ocean Wedding" set (including the wonderfully weird Reverend Squid), but also has a shark and angelfish from different sets (based on this Wonder World collector guide).
