eBay seller zaligani has lots of retired Kaiyodo Aqualand fish for sale, as well as some other bits and pieces. The starting price for the fish isn't too bad, but the crocodile is insane...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/m.html?_odkw=aqualand&_sop=10&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_armrs=1&_ssn=zaligani&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR7.TRC1.A0.Xkaiyodo&_nkw=kaiyodo&_sacat=0

I've seen that--it is the first time I saw the silver arowana for sale, but I just couldn't bring myself to pay that much for a broken figure.

WOW :o I really luck out when I got mine for $25 BIN ;)

So you got the second one ;D. Cool, I was the buyer of the first one. I miss 'monstrosities.inc' on eBay. That was an outstanding seller :)! I bought a lot of older Kaiyodo things from him.

I wish they'd come back...but alas, it is too late :-\

They came flying from far away, now I'm under their spell....

The worst part? I tongue-in-cheek-asked him to keep me in mind if he wanted a new home for it--and it turns out he had just found a new home for it! Meaning that I just missed one yet again! >:( :P

and this tardigrade: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-Retired-Agatsuma-Like-Kaiyodo-Deep-Sea-Tardigrade-Water-Bear-Figure-/201042375280?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ecf0f3270#ht_801wt_903
You won't be disappointed with that one. Because who could ever get upset with a tardigrade?!

I actually have it already, but was posting for others who want to join the Sacred Order of Tardegrade Collectors :)

Kaiyodo's newest set is on eBay, including this guy: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-Kaiyodo-Capsule-Museum-Q-Animatales-Japanese-Noro-Water-Flea-Figure-/191081330861?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c7d55b8ad#ht_785wt_903

I've already ordered both the water bug and water flea from this set :)
Excellent! :) This must be the first ever Leptodora figure!

But not the only water flea overall! :P

From the Epoch "Ecology of Plankton".

brontodocus

No, but while I appreciate that we have quite a few Daphnia pulex figures now, Leptodora as a predatory cladoceran (and being the largest one) makes it really special (at least for me, in our department the phenotypic plasticity of Daphnia in the presence of predator kairomones is a major research topic and Leptodora kindtii has also been used as a test predator).

bmathison1972

Ooooo I need that Epoch set. I have three other Daphnia: Kaiyodo (Night at the Museum), Takara TOMY (Microbes) and Kaiyodo (one of the aquarium lines whose name escapes me now).
