My thoughts too, but ya never know! I have surprised a few times by unbranded items.

ah not to get too off track but you may be right then, the original source for this model may be this one  (note - not an ebay listing just a pinterest image):  https://www.pinterest.pt/pin/375769162644964402/?amp_client_id=CLIENT_ID%28_%29&mweb_unauth_id=&amp_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.pinterest.pt%2Famp%2Fpin%2F375769162644964402%2F&from_amp_pin_page=true

this looks similar enough it may be the OG from which the Waiphoon is based or at least "inspired".  Info tag says it's a AAA salmon
In that case I believe both eBay listings contain the "bootleg" version

EpicRaptorMan

Cool dolphinfish, but I cannot justify $30 for it. Lol

Saarlooswolfhound

Never hurts to make an offer.  ;)

NSD Bashe

Oh yeah some sellers will allow you to buy just one item from their lots, especially if they've had them listed a while, so you never know

I got so excited at first thinking it was a BIN. Never seen that figure before. Adding it to the watchlist.

Saarlooswolfhound

Its an awesome model for sure! I got one a few years ago at a small national park called Fossil Butte. I love softshell turtles and its a must have!

Have one of those on my desk that I purchased from the Everglades National Park gift shop probably a dozen years ago.

Great piece, well worth it.

stargatedalek

I got one at the Harvard gift shop around a decade ago, great figure.

Shane

Dang - I still need the gulper eel, hatchetfish and dragonfish, but that's a little pricey.

The tags and display though - very nice.

Lately the gulper eel is pretty easy to obtain for the moment
for instance I think this is the cheapest currently: https://www.ebay.com/itm/394571938265?hash=item5bde51f9d9:g:EEQAAOSw7TJkPDJw&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwFGBwCmfaGk1DW7fZI%2FaDkVyMGysOm8%2FHz%2F2BhBuXB8bvLj8hW3kQiQHGwYh4qjYjve%2B8FdL2ZrZIYfFPwquGpKcwNW4MQNaruZDABo8cqlvbBUzLN0T5WHWOFAWE5moOPDVVBjP%2FHd9codbJYxSyiXhYl6ZS3XqOBblm4EaHT4Lq2DEhN6TwdPzwv4kHv5I%2BG3tWMES8JjeWrf1EEbTZyhOrvxrnlhHODzeLlmqhi5r2Qr4ZWeEYWf1IjujgU1kxw%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR_D9-JGbYg

there's a number of reasonably priced listings for it though

the other two you mentioned I have seen for fairly decent prices not too long before

Couple listings for the dragonfish, expensive although a lot less so than the entire sets if it comes down to it

Thanks for sharing! I have seen the gulper eel is pretty widely available, which tends to make me lazy because I feel like it'll always be there.

The dragonfish is one of those ones that's just ever so slightly too pricey to pull the trigger on.

The hatchetfish seems to be the most elusive.

NSD Bashe

and yet I've seen the hatchetfish a number of times in the past - once it was going for like 5 or 10 dollars but listed as a "toy bass".  That one I think is only a matter of time before it turns up again somewhere.  Funny fact, the one I had the most difficulty getting was the gulper eel-for a long time that one seemed basically impossible to find, now look how many there are    :))
