Edited the first post again. And with that, the calendar is full! Looks like it will be a fun week. More exciting than the lineup of shows on Discovery.

@Alopias superciliosus and @JimoAi - please make sure your reviews are submitted to the email at least two days before they are scheduled. I need ample time to get them up there in case of unforeseen events! Thanks.

Will do! I plan to get them both to you by Friday!

Welp an update on my side: I'm done with the writing but I'll need to take pics of the figure

Update: I'll try to take pics by Sunday as I'll be busy on Saturday if that's ok for your side

Alopias superciliosus

Just submitted my Papo Thresher review!

JimoAi

@Alopias superciliosus if I don't mind prying, what species is the Papo thresher?

Blog reviews for @Alopias superciliosus (7/23), @JimoAi (7/24), and myself (7/26) are now built and scheduled in draft on the Blog!

Having it in hand, definitely a Bigeye Thresher!

Also having it in-hand, I concur!  ^-^

Just posted my shark review and discovered that I also posted the last shark review, on July 13th 2024.  :-[

It's been that long since our last shark? That's pretty crazy.

I guess we've been waiting a while for some to get released

bmathison1972

Wow hard to believe we went a whole year without a shark review  :o

Gwangi

I think just about every shark in my collection has been reviewed already. And if I get a new shark within 6 months of Shark Week I'm likely going to wait until Shark Week to review it.

I haven't picked up any recently that weren't claimed. Or any of the new ones.

Of course, I probably have dozens, maybe hundreds, that aren't on the blog. But not all of them are worth it.

The recent Papo Shortfin Mako and Collecta Megamouth Sharks definitely deserve reviews before next years' Shark Week! I just received them and thoroughly impressed by both

Do you have pictures of the mako? I've seen Papo's pictures and wasn't impressed. I plan on getting the megamouth though, and reviewing it, perhaps before Shark Week 2026.

I have a few issues with the sculpt, but I overall think it's a great likeness!

A bit derpy looking in the face but not bad otherwise, at least it has the caudal keel (unlike Safari's). Thanks for sharing the pictures. You should write a review for it!

Right- I prefer the face of Safari's but like the color-scheme of the Papo more and like that it has the caudal keel! I should do a review at some point!

A great crop of reviews this year, everyone! Thanks for participating. I didn't watch a single Shark Week program but I read every review with my morning coffee. Already looking forward to next year.  ^-^
