TPE or Thermoplastic Elastomer combines the property of both plastic and rubber. I find TPE figures to lack the premium quality of most PVC and the texture just feels off for me. To my knowledge, most Schleich sea animals, some collectA dinos, their white shark and the Safari LTD Megalosaurus uses this material. Is there any advantages over using TPE over PVC to justify athe texture and the rubbery feel?

The advantage is that there is more flexibility overall, and with the Megalosaurus specifically, TPE was a suitable material that allowed the figure to maintain balance and stability without being too rigid and stiff.

from my experience, the flexibility leaves some wrinkles after bending from some Schleich sea animals
