What species the caiman is?
Can it be black caiman? Or it's simple american alligator?

Which set?
The one in the reptiles set is a black caiman
The one in the North American set is an American alligator

got the original sharks set and I have to say it's pretty mediocre. The hammerhead was good but has minor accuracy issues and I would like to take back about what I said about the Schleich hammerhead. still not bad but I have no idea which hammerhead to keep as I like the material and the more realistic look of the Toymany one more but the Schleich one has better fin proportions

The whale shark, blue and zebra are good but there's other better options

The tiger shark and mako are just atrocious with wonky proportions

the set was an absolute waste of money

I got 3 of the sets I ordered. Still waiting for the other 3 to arrive... I will update here when the last 3 come. :)

I'm sorry you're unhappy with this set!  I decided to give it a try after not feeling satisfied with any of the hammerhead shark figures (excluding the bonnethead as the Toymany and Safari versions are satisfying).  I'm very happy with the Toymany scalloped hammerhead that the set contains!  I bought the set for it and it was worth the money spent for just the one figure.  However, I wasn't expecting to be surprised by how good the blue shark is!  It looks more accurate than the official photo of it shows, with white on its underside.  I've been looking for a blue shark figure with a nice size and this Toymany figure is just what I wanted!  So for me the set is a purchase I'm very happy with, as I'm keeping these two figures from it.

I agree its mako shark and tiger shark are poor.  The zebra shark seems to have painted nostrils on its dorsal surface?  And the whale shark surprised me by having metallic silver spots!

JimoAi

yeah I would've kept the hammerhead if it has the proper second dorsal and anal fin proportions and if it had a notch on the top caudal lobe

Another new set of arctic figures!

Toymany 12PCS 4-7" Large Polar Animals Figurines, Plastic Arctic Animal Toy Preschool Set Includes Polar Bear,Caribou,Whales,Walrus, Cake Toppers Christmas Birthday Toys Gift for Kids Toddlers https://a.co/d/cvqxjOS

I have this, the sea turtles, the reptiles with the axolotl in it, and sheep (the set released just before the new arctic set) coming. Also a set of Seinon (another chinese brand?) dogs and cats comimg too.

bmathison1972

Those new Arctic animals look like original (?) sculpts. Nice to have another musk ox for those building a herd.

Overall I really like the snowy owl, but its feet are wrong; they should be zygodactyl when in-flight. They can pivot one of the rear toes forward when grasping onto a branch, but in flight they should be displayed zygodactyl.

Saarlooswolfhound

These are all unique sculpts. I agree on the feet, but it is in a posture that makes it look like it is alighting on a branch so for some, that may be a acceptable model. :)

JimoAi

the narwhal paint scheme is just too bad for my liking which is a shame as the sculpt is great and I don't have faith in repainting figures. The beluga would be great if not for the thin tail stock and they seem to have reversed the orca tail color. Have absolute zero interest in the rest

Any idea of the seal species.

They're okay, but nothing I need to replace my current species with.

The owl is probably the nicest. And the rabbit, wolf, and polar bear have unique postures for those collectors interested in that.

But what stops an owl from pivoting its toes mid-flight? Owls are not true zygodactyls. They're semi-zygodactyl allowing them to rotate the 4th digit from zygodactyl to an anisodactyl position.

Their listing says harp seal. I could be wrong, but the orca tail could be reflection and not painting?

Forgive my lack of knowledge but, does anyone with more knowledge have IDs for the sea turtle set? The only one I am confident in is the leatherback.  :-[

Based on shells I am thinking Hawksbill, Green, Flat back, Olive Ridley, & one more

IMO these look a little wonky in their proportions, but I may decide to get them sometime. :) There are a few sets of sea life that I *think* are new, but I won't post them here as they are all comprised of copied moulds rather than unique ones.

ooo what are the sealife

Saarlooswolfhound

They are all mixed sets with an assortment of clades together. But I recognize them as mould copies of Schleich, Papo, CollectA, etc... nothing really new unless you like to get variations of things (sometimes I do, but not so much with ocean animals).
