"Devil fish" ( AAA )

Hello friends, this is the Devils fish of AAA. Total lenght of this figure is 270mm.









AAA have done a lot of sea creatures, but some one figures of them, have normal name as "lizard" or "devil fish" for example. I think that this ray is a winter skate (Leurocaja ocellata) Mitchill, 1815. This figure is one of my favorite sea critters of AAA. I think that is a good reply of this animal with good proportions and  details. The only bad thing that I see of this figure is the color. I have two ray of these and this is lighter than the other that she is darker than this. I bought this figure in Sea Life auarium store in Benalmadena (Spain) and the another ray (darker) was bought by me in Zoo Aquarium of Madrid  (Spain) 18 years ago  .

I used to have one of those many years ago (~15), but it was a solid brown color. I wonder when they started adding the spots?

I did the spots when I was a child because I didnt like allone the color brown and I liked the color of mediterranean rays with their spots  .
