Best Figure of Every Species?

The DTB has a continually updated thread of the best figures of each species, generally grouped by taxonomy: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=8799.msg261476;topicseen#new. It would be interesting to see this done on the ATB. Most of you know much more about animal figures than me, so please tell me your thoughts on this. Or, if you like the idea, go ahead and start posting what you think the best figures are.

This is a very personal opinionated thing. Everyone's reply is going to pertain to what THEY think is the best and not everyone will agree with them.

It might be fun to see everyone's personal opinions on these, if for no other reason than to see what drives a person to call 'best' (scuplt, paint, post, etc.).

I will contribute to this, but it will be in little pieces over time (there are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more extant species than extinct species in toy form).

Maybe worth doing a poll for people to vote on for certain species that are particularly well produced by the figure industry.

This is where Sirenia's idea of a poll might be useful. I would contribute some, but obviously not much as I am a prehistoric collector first and foremost and you guys have way more knowledge in this field than I do. Perhaps we should start with a well produced and well known group such as the big cats, and then we can debate or vote on the best figures of each species until we have done each one. We may need to make a new thread for each group or species, but we may not have to do anything at all as this was a poorly informed idea from a curious collector in the first place

I think that at least would be easy to vote for the best hirola, the best black crested macaque, or the best strap-toothed whale
