I have a pet marbled salamander.  ^-^

Nice! I haven't kept many salamanders. Not very common around me

Before the marbled salamander I had a spotted salamander that lived under my care for about 10 years. Both were wild caught but not by me, I don't generally like taking animals from the wild, aside from the occasional fish for native aquariums. In the case of the marbled my wife's co-worker found it in his garage, released it into the woods, found it in his garage again, and then gave it to my wife to give to me. I reluctantly accepted it. That was a couple years ago and now its tame and will eat from my hands. I wouldn't mind having a captive bred tiger or fire salamander. Lots of newts I would like to try too.

The closest I've had is a tiger that got caught in a mousetrap where I worked. Kept it a couple days before releasing it, needed to make sure the arm injury wasn't too bad (it ran off just fine)
