No offense, but it's spelt Schleich, not "Schlelich". You might want to change the title.

They came flying from far away, now I'm under their spell....

Sorry about that. I Schleich is a word that I just cant spell right off the top of my head, and my Browsers Spell Checker would not check the Subject Title

Very nice! :) Somehow I don't look at Schleich catalogues often enough (maybe they are simply too ubiquitous here) - I didn't even know they made a female Moose! :o

Dragonwolf

I agree completely with all of you. Boring coloration, yet a large and well-made figure. Time to get a caribou with better paint works. Maybe they'll complement each other.

Beautieful figurine and nice pics  :)

Walk-around of the Safari Ltd Wildlife Wonders Moose, Alces alces (Linnaeus, 1758); item No. 113289, new for 2016 and this year's only release within the series. Like all Wildlife Wonders models this is a big figure: Snout-vent length is 195 mm and shoulder height is 131 mm (total height to the highest point of the antlers is 172 mm) so the scale is anywhere between 1:13 and 1:16 or even 1:17 for a record specimen. Safari Ltd gives a scale of 1:15 which fits well for a bull standing nearly two metres high at the shoulder. The large size of the figure allows for a finely detailed texture of the fur and well proportioned, rather slender legs. The figure's pose appears quite elegant when compared to Papo's Moose. Hallmark Fonzie is approx. 1:16.5 - 1:17 and Homo sapiens by Bullyland is approx. 1:16 - 1:18 scale.
It has been suggested that the North American moose represents a distinct species, Alces americanus (Clinton, 1822), but often it is just regarded as a subspecies of A. alces. IUCN treats both as separate species which, at present, are both widespread and common so they are both listed as "Least Concern": http://www.iucnredlist.org/details/41782/0 http://www.iucnredlist.org/details/818/0
Currently, the figure is not listed on Safari Ltd's website but I may add a link later.

Edit 2017-02-03: Fixed broken image urls.

Walk-around of the Safari Ltd Wildlife Wonders Whitetail Deer Buck, Odocoileus virginianus (Zimmermann, 1780); item No. 113599, new for 2017. Snout-vent length is approx. 175 mm and shoulder height approx. 100 mm so the scale is between approx. 1:10 and 1:12 (although there are also smaller subspecies for which the scale would be different). The Whitetail deer is a highly adaptable species and overabundant in the U.S.A. and Canada (but declining in some other countries within its geographical range) and can even be a pest, similar to the European Roe Deer, Capreolus capreolus. As a consequence, IUCN lists the Whitetail Deer as "Least Concern".
