Hello friends, these are the figures of Sperm Whale (Physeter macrocephalus) Linnaeus, 1758 of Safari Ltd.-Monterey Bay Aquarium. Total lenght is 300 mm. This figure was relased in 1992 and it is retired. It is the largest of the toothed whales and the largest toothed predator. The sperm whale can be found anywhere in the open ocean. Sperm whales usually dive between 300 to 800 metres (980 to 2,600 ft), and sometimes 1–2 kilometres to search for food. Such dives can last more than an hour. They feed on several species, notably the giant squid, but also the larger colossal squid, octopuses, and diverse fish like demersal rays, but the main part of their diet consists of medium-sized squid.

MBA of Safari Ltd have beutiful and amzaing figures, but I think that this figure is one of the best figures of this collection and absolubtely, one of the biggest figures of this line and heaviest too. From my point of view, this figure is a accurate reply of this mammal, because the details, stand, proportions are perfects. Colours are very nice. Personally, it is the best replica of this species  I bought this figure one week ago in Ebay.

Certainly this is the best replica, despite other brands made good ones too, this fit very well with the humpback whale from the same line. I love to put the sperm whale with the giant squid (MBA) for some pics. Congratulations!

Man that Sperm Whale is very nice, although it's noggin is shaped a bit weirdly.
Also did anyone do a review of the Papo Sperm whale?

Not yet. I think it may be the same sculpt as the retired Schleich "Seetiere 1:32" Sperm Whale which was made by Maia & Borges. But it seems that one hasn't been reviewed either - which is a shame. Maybe I should grab mine out and take some new photos, eventually.

Thanks! Brontodocus! And yes if you can, post some photos of the whale.

For the moment I ony have some bad photos which are eight years old. But I'll try to make some better ones in the new future. But I'd post those in a separate walk-around then, of course.

That's one nice model of a Sperm Whale! Also I feel like it differs a little bit from the Schleich version, same as the other Maia and Borges Whales which slightly differ from the Schleich ones. But It's still a very nice model.
Thanks for the photos brontodocus!  ^-^

I have the Papo Sperm Whale. I will do a review soon  ^-^.

This model is on my bucket list.  Whether I would get it remains to be seen.

In my personal quest to get the entire collection, I'd say the adult sperm whale is definitely one of the easier retired figures to come across with enough searching. Mercari can also be a good storefront.

I have a E-bay account, but it is broken.  I tried to fix it twice, so E-bay really is not a viable option for me anymore.
